Re: Apple Mac Lovers
I did it, I broke down and spent the extra $$$ and bought me a Mac, should be here by the end of next week. I got the Macbook Pro 13 inch with i7 dual ocore processor, 8 gigs of ram and 500 gb hard drive. I stayed with microsoft office for my processing and spreadsheet needs. I read a lot of reviews and just reading through this thread sold it for me. I can't wait till end of next week!Last edited by moose1619; 04-23-2011, 11:38 AM.I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me!

Oh yeah, make sure you dabble in the iLife suite too. Garageband can be a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Enjoy!Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Re: Apple Mac Lovers
You'll love it man. I bought the 15 inch quad-core last week and I absolutely love it! They've made Office 2011 look more like 2010 (PC) and that's a good thing. Via boot camp, it can run most of the newer games at high settings. Just the fact that it can run windows and Mac OS is just awesome! Add in the multi-touch trackpad and there's really no reason for me to buy another PC.

I know. I need to upgrade to 8 gigs of RAM. I can't find a good enough deal right now though. I really want a SSD, but it's too expensive as well.Originally posted by J. Re: Apple Mac Lovers
I'm kinda waiting for the Imac refresh that is rumoured to be happening sometime shortly. My question is though for all of you that bought Macs, did you also buy Applecare? Or is it not necessary? I know I have a year in which to purchase it but wanted to know if it was worth it. Thanks

Re: Apple Mac Lovers
Applecare is definitely worth it. You don't have to buy upon purchase though. You've got a year from the date of purchase to get it.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Re: Apple Mac Lovers
This is probably too bizarre to post, but I love the smell of brand new Macs. I don't know if it's the packaging or the electronics or the aluminum casing, but I like it.

Re: Apple Mac Lovers
When I got my new iMac last year, my room smelled like it for a week. It was amazing. When I got home from work my friend knew that I got it that day without me telling him so I asked him how. He said he could smell it.Comment
