i got the phone after waiting for 3 hours in line! damn but the phone is sweet so fastttt when u put the phone in landscape mode theres like no delay likeing it so far the speaker is decent wish it was a little bit louder

jailbreak can't come soon enough !!! Only thing I miss from my old phone. Gave my 2g old phone to my 5 year old son and letting him use it like a ipod touch and he thinks he is big **** now.

ahh i finally figured out how to keep the contacts separate in outlook for when we sync our phones.. whew, thank god!! lol

So I did the new 3.0 update on my 2g iphone and now i had dead pixels. 2 small lines. It was perfect before the update. I called Apple and now they want me to pay for this crap. Robbing customers is the first thing on their minds

YouTube on 3G looks pretty terrible. YouTube on WiFi looks spectacular.

No issues with my phone except a few dropped calls here and there. Seems like AT&T has beefed up their network in NYC now though. Hardly drop a call and 'net speeds are pretty decent.

Thanks for answering, good looking out,1 more question tho, on 3G are the videos watchable at all? or its so terrible that you gotta move on to something else? lol

Did you get the rest of your data separated?

I was going to suggest using Google to sync your calendar and contacts via exchange. When you do this everything is synced over the air and no need to worry about a crashed or inaccessible PC.

I was going to suggest using Google to sync your calendar and contacts via exchange. When you do this everything is synced over the air and no need to worry about a crashed or inaccessible PC.

i was able to get the calendars separate as well.

whats exchange?

Here you go Google Sync Beta for your iPhone

Exchange is Microsoft's technology. For mobile phones it uses their product called ActiveSync (in the middle of your phone and the server) which allows syncing over the air. Google licensed this from Microsoft months ago and came out with this free service.

Basically it renders MobileMe useless if someone has been holding onto that service for its calendar, contacts, and mail sync.

With Google Sync for iPhone you can manage you calendar and contacts right from Google, or your iPhone. They always stay in sync with the latest changes.

I usually get about 3-5 drop calls per day on my iphone. I honestly don't like AT&T. I think they are very expensive and the coverage in NYC is not that great. Everytime i drive around i get a lot of drop calls. I think AT&T has too many dead zones...

hey, thanks a lot of for that info. seems to be pretty simple process. so i can use that for my contacts and calendars and still use itunes for apps, music etc. sounds good to me.

im taking my 32g back today to get another one, there is something wrong with the power button. doesn't click down and now it works say 1 out of 5 attempts to press it. (crossing fingers they still have some left). if not, att will just have to mail me one..

I'm in Bklyn, Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx frequently and I don't share the same experience.

Guys, the Jailbreak has been released already, just not for windows. (EDIT: 2G and 3G only)

My phone is already back to its jailbroken good ole' self. Slingplayer over 3G once again!

Really digging the white 3gs. Looked kind of odd at first but now I am liking it.
