Jailbreak offers way more than flash, like customization and much more, but to each it's own, iPhone software is lagging behind android in customization and features, jailbreaking gets you all of that! But do what fits u..... I personally will never own a stock apple product!

Lol.... Apple warranty are a joke, I never buy them, just put phone on my home owners insurance or renters insurance!

If I may say this. That's not smart. As soon as you make a claim that your "phone" has been stolen it counts as a HO insurance claim. Which counts as a strike against you and will raise your rates (likely significantly) in the future. Other HO insurance companies see this "phone" claim as well and count it against you when you shop around for another quote. Just ask your rep this and you'll see how they pause as they explain this to you. All those nice attachments to policies (identity theft, etc) all count towards a regular insurance claim.

The Apple warranty is not a joke. It's very comprehensive and the in-store service is top notch in the industry.

Top notch in the industry and no joke.... I bought a apple warranty for my first iPhone 3GS and i dropped it and cracked the screen... Called apple it was still under warranty and they told me they wouldn't fix it and if I went to outside source to fix it, it would void my warranty, yeah top notch service I see......

You could just buy that mobile protect app. That's what I do.

Skype has been updated to allow video conferencing over 3G, in case you don't know.

So there is now Fring, Tango and Skype. Considering Skype's user base this is a huge update. You can video call PC's/Macs, iPads, etc.

The warranty never covers user abuse. You cracked the screen; just like with any other product, you are screwed. It's not a company's fault you were negligent.

Apple Care covers pretty much any other thing that can go wrong plus you if you go in store, they typically swap the item out for you on the spot.

Well I guess it's a each it's own thing.... I will never purchase another apple warranty as long as I live... Got great insurance and they cover all my products.... That's why I will forever be a fan of jailbreaking, can't wait until Cydia come to MacBook pro.... Just a couple more months to wait

I get that, I can understand them not wanting to fix my screen, but to void my warranty cause I got it fixed from another company that apple does business with is wrong.... So I don't buy apple protection plans and will never buy another.... I can afford not to

Jailbreaking has nothing to do with your warranty. You're all over the place.
