Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
actually there a several phones out there with a better screen (one example is the droid. Bigger screen and more pixels). Apples touch screen works better than any of the rest though. Either way, Apple likes to stay ahead of the competition so I expect them to have a big improvement over the 3gs. The first 2g was pretty fugly. when the 3g came out they made it look 10x better. Of course it will not be anything drastic, but they need to change it. Hopefully they have a decent camera too. Other phones are coming out with 8mp cameras.Comment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I am pretty sure if not by this fall probably next summer they will come out with a higer resolution screen and a much better camera. Basically they have no choice when a lot of the other smart phones having 8mp cameras and high res screens. Just like I am sure they probably going to have a 1ghz processor too, because basically all smart phones are moving into that direction.
Same thing with screen size, Iphone too will be forced to have a phone with a 4.1 inch screen or bigger. Considering T-mobiles HTC HD 2 is 4.3, Sprints HTC EVO is 4.3 and Verizon's Shadow will be 4.1 or 4.3.
Sign of the tech trend. People want bigger screens and faster processors. I am sure we only a few years off from phones being dual core.
And maybe a decade away from cell phones replacing netbooks all together.Comment

The best thing they can do to improve the camera is to improve the lens so low-light shots come out crisper.Ryan Spencer

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
Does anyone really need anything over 6 megapixels in a phone camera? Pretty sure no one wants to do poster-sized prints from the stuff they take on their phone.

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
Ummm yeah I would have to agree.....I been to the photo lab at Walmart, Walgreens and CVS lots of times where it would it be people bringing in their cell phones with over 100 pics from their vacation that they want printed out.
One day in particular, it was a couple of weeks before christmas at the Walmart photo lab and it was this older married couple, had to be in their 50s or late 40s. The husband had 200 pics on his cell phone and the wife had 135 on hers from their vacation. They had just came back from Cancun or something like that and they wanted it all printed out.
Needless to say when I heard how many pics they had, I left LOL. For I am sure that probably took them a couple of hours and probably a whole photo roll of instant print paper to do.
Nowadays I am noticing a good number of people using their cell phones as their main camera that they use. Especially considering a good number of smartphones now allow video recording and with a few allowing HD video recording.Comment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
You guys are probably right, but there would have to be a TON of significant improvements before I'd feel like I could get rid of my digital camera. They could put a 20-megapixel camera in a phone and it wouldn't matter much because the more important options (to me anyway) are lens quality, shooting modes, etc. which are pretty poor on all phones right now.Ryan Spencer

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I thought I was the only one who was wondering why the heck this hasn't been released on the phone yet. I'm just longing to try out one for a solid price and great depth. I'd try almost any game.Comment
