I have always had a case on my iPhone. I'm pretty anal about keeping my electronics in great condition. Although I do agree, it really sucks that you HAVE to get a case to improve the antenna on the iPhone.

I have a funny story about my last iPhone 3Gs in a case. I had just gotten down to Florida to vist some friends. At this point I was a full blown iPhone addict and maybe I had been on my phone a little too much that night... Anyway, as I was texting away in the car, my friend asked to see my phone, as she was pulling the phone back, the phone flew out of the car through the open window.

I couldn't believe it. The look on her face was priceless. I had been drinking a little bit and thought the phone had just fallen between the driver seat and door. Finally when I realized what happened, I was pretty pissed. We make a Uie and I pick the phone up. It was laying on the yellow line of the road, screen up. We had to have been going about 45 mph.

I pick the phone up, the back incase cover I had on it was scratched to all hell. The phone itself? Perfect condition, not a scratch, not a crack.

Moral of the story, cases are good. At least for me. :-)

WOW, surprised no car or truck ran over it. Up here, being that the roads are not flat at all, I gurantee you that phone would have been cracked. Mainly because a lot of roads here are 8% grade, that phone would have been rolling for quite a bit.

Apple is allowing you up to 30 days to return the iPhone without charge.

Don't beat it up, and if it's still not right for you, return it.

Wow.. Here's Mine:

First Iphone I ever owned was this year. A 3GS 16GB one.

Had it for about 10 days. Went to driving range and hit some balls. Left to go home and about 1 mile up the road I realize I don't have my phone. I left it on bumper when I was changing shoes. My daughter right away started calling it after we could not find it in parking lot. It went right to voice mail.

Long story short.. I walked that one mile stretch 2-3 times and I've never seen the phone again. Called ATT and had the phone shut down.

We still had 1 phone eligible for upgrade (My wifes line) so that's what we did and just used it to get my replacement Iphone for my #.

Then fast forward a couple weeks and I realize the Iphone 4 would be same upgrade price as I just paid.... Returned it and ordered Iphone 4.

Scheduled to be delivered July 7th at 10:30'ish am.

So.... yeah.....

Yeah but that is going to be fixed by changing how the phone displays signal strength, not by addressing the real issue.

That's good to hear, fish.

I've actually had improved reception from my 3G, despite what people want to publish or say.

That's why I said don't buy into any of that stuff.

I also get better reception. My house is in a grey area and now I can text anywhere in the house without issue.

There isn't much out there. I have a body glove for the time being but I want more protection. Call your local AT&T store and see what they have in stock. You'll luck out if they have a Speck Candyshell in stock, they are nice. I want an Otterbox but they still are not out yet.
