Other than Installous and cracked apps...I would think so. Scott just posted his customized lockscreen.

+1 on NCSettings (on's Scott's lockscreen) - notification center toggles
BiteSMS - the best $10 I've spent on ANY app! Actually only 1 of 2 $10+ apps I've ever bought.
DataDeposit - backup/restore apps to Dropbox
Fake Carrier - changes carrier name
5 Icon Dock - pretty self explanatory
MyWi - WiFi tethering. I don't do it often - but figured $20 once was worth it for those occasions with no WiFi for my iPad.
NotiCall - Quick dial favorite in Notification Center.
SiriSports - "Siri what is the Yankees score?"

I guess I'll put this in here since the iPod thread is practically dead...

I'm looking for a good portable iPod/iPhone player as a bday gift for the Mrs, which will be used mostly at the beach. I saw one at the beach this past weekend that looked very sturdy and safe, the iPhone was completely enclosed in this player to protect it from sand and the elements. It opened almost like French doors to access the iPhone. The sound quality wasn't great but that's expected. I can't find this thing online anywhere, anyone familiar with what I'm talking about? Or have any other good recommendations?

You could always get something with bluetooth and keep the phone in her bag. I don't have any specific models to mention, but that was the first idea that popped into my head.

Jawbone has a nice bluetooth speaker set that works with the iPhone. Has a nice sound too.

This is going to be a very lame question to most of you experienced users but I just joined the ranks of the iphone users and was wondering how I can make it so when I receive a txt it doesn't just sit there on my screen for anyone walking past to see?

I leave my phone on my desk at work and some of my buddies send me some pretty expletive filled txt's (usually sport / betting related) and I don't want my co-workers seeing it. I've heard keeping a phone in your pocket all day is not a good idea due to the radiation and their close proximity to the nutsack.

I don't know for sure but ever since I heard a story about a guy suing a phone company because he got breast cancer (the guy left his phone in his right work shirt pocket for years and got breast cancer in the right pec) I haven't taken the risk. Probably an old wives tale.

There is no actual proof that I know of at this stage but I figure it's better safe than sorry....

I still walk around with it in my pocket all the time but I prefer to take it out if I am going to be sitting down all day at work and leave it unmoved for the day.
