I need a phone that has internet access, a speakerphone function, and a larger / easier to see keypad than a blackberry...

Are there any other choices out there or is the iphone the only way to go?

So yeah I bought it today.

I knew a guy who worked there and he gave me a 17% discount on my monthly bill, so I won't be paying anymore a month.

You're trying to jailbreak and/or unlock it already?

I'd suggest getting used to it first before you do that.

Also, does anyone have the car charger? I almost got it but then I thought I would wait to see how much battery I use.

Anyone know where I can get microsoft outlook for free so I can sync my numbers instead of typing them in.


One more thng... You know how you can put photo's on your iPhone and also have the pictures come up when someone calls you. Do you think this would work..

Yes, just do all this through Outlook and sync.

Oh I didn't need Outlook to do any of those things. I just used my yahoo contacts and the pics were easy too.

Quick questions. It seems when I get texts I still get a sound ( I want vibrate) even when I have my sound off. I need it to just vibrate so when I am at work it doesn't make a sound and just vibrates for me, same as calls.

How do I turn the keypad sounds off?

The little switch on the left side above the volume buttons will put the phone onto silent.

Anyway, go to Settings -> Sound. You can turn the keyboard clicks off here, as well as change all the other sounds settings.

Give me some tips for this baby... I am loving it so far.

For wallpaper, I use movie posters. I get them from http://impawards.com/, put them into iPhoto, and then just sync my phone. I find the movie posters fit perfectly.

For ringtones, I just have one that I created using iTunes, it's all I really need.

I don't have my phone jailbroken anymore, because I think 1.1.3 gives you enough customizability with the custom homes-creen icons (web clips) and the ability to re-arrange icons.
