I was thinking the same thing. I would like to get rid of 3G and upgrade that but right now I still have unlimited data with Verizon. Something that I won't be able to keep unless I buy without a contract. The only big difference for me is the camera but I think I might purchase a nice Canon dSLR anyways.

Hopefully the 6 is a little more innovative. I feel like Apple has hit a plateau with their products and they need something big to get themselves over this hurdle.

It doesn't. One of the tech blogs (Gizmodo, Tech Crunch...I forget which) called them out on the same thing and said the 64-bit announcement was basically marketing fluff.

I still have a 4 running on 5.0.1. Might be time to upgrade.

My wire recently got an iPhone 5 and she just got a new PC the other day. How can she back it up on the new PC? Only thing she is worried about losing is her contacts. She doesn't have any music on it.

The easiest way is to use iCloud to back it up. It's super easy, and backs up everything. But, you can back it up once you plug it into iTunes. It does the same thing basically.

iCloud only allows so much for free right?

5GB. But that's plenty, unless you have a ton of photos. You have to sync your music separately, but photos are what take the most space. It doesn't sync actual apps, but it does app data. When you restore, it keeps all of your apps in the same place, your wallpaper the same, all that. You just have to redownload the apps.

If it says my iCloud is full and won't let me back up, what can I do? I don't want to buy more.

Go to settings-iCloud-storage and backup-manage storage. More than likely its pictures. I had it happen to me recently and I turned off Photo Stream and it helped a ton. I'd also delete any that you don't need, or move them to your computer. There you'll also see all the app data with the amount of data you're backing up. I turned off everything I didn't care about, because a lot of it is on by default. It may not show right away, so give it overnight so it can resync and such.

if photos are taking up your space, consider using Dropbox or Google+. either of them will auto-backup your photos to your account.

So after thinking about it, I've decided to not upgrade to the 5S from my 5. Just not enough change to justify the cost. I'll wait for the 6 when I'm off contract and when I can still get a couple hundred dollars for my trade in. iOS 7 is gonna be like a whole new phone anyways, and the 5 is going to support pretty much every new feature. Especially because I know the next generation will be a big enough leap, that I'll almost definitely want it over the 5S.

Decided on the same thing. Even with the $325 I could get from Gazelle, I don't think the upgrade is worth it considering my upgrade isn't available yet.

Same here. From everything I read, iOS7 is built to run superbly on the 5 anyway. Just gonna wait until next year's iteration to upgrade.
