Phones should not be that big. I prefer the form factor of the 5s, but the 6 will do. However, if they make them any bigger than this though, I will have to find something else.

Agreed on Handoff, that will be extremely useful for when my phone is charging in another room. Also interested in the health app and how it integrated data from other apps for a comprehensive view.

I am still torn on if I want a Plus or just the 6. I was going to get the Plus and then if it was too big I could return for 6, but if I order the Plus I have to wait a few weeks.

Does your carrier have a "Jump" or "Next" type plan that you could join? If you are on a 10gb or higher plan with AT&T, for example, it's actually cheaper individually to join a Next plan than go for a subsidized contract plan.

I'm on verizon but I think you have to be eligible for an upgrade to join their upgrade program.

I work for Verizon.

You just have to be within 12 months of your upgrade and your account must be in good standing (ie. no late payments for awhile and nothing past due) to be eligible for the Early Edge Program. As well as trading in your current phone as long as there isn't any damage and works properly.

The Edge Program takes the next phone's full retail price of the phone, divides it over the next 20 months and adds that to your bill. It then subtracts $10 from your line access to supplement for this added charge. The customer then has the option to apply insurance onto the device for $10 a month. IMO, it is boneheaded to not get the insurance because if the phone breaks, you still have to pay off the rest of phone before being able to upgrade again. Most phones end up adding $32.50 onto the account.

Edge Program features:

No upgrade/new activation fee

Can upgrade at anytime as long as the device is half way paid off and can be traded in towards a new upgrade. The new phone would then start the Edge Upgrade all over again.

Upfront cost is lower than a standard 2 year upgrade. On the Edge Program you only pay the taxes on the full retail price in store. So most phones come out to being around $50-$60 in store vs the regular $199.99 (sometimes with rebate) plus tax on a 2 year upgrade.

Yeah, and I don't get why it's larger, as the Note's screen size is .2 inches bigger. Maybe the iPhone has bigger speakers. It is thinner than the Note, at least.

Iphone bezels make it larger.

Have the 5s and I don't see anything that would make me even consider switching. The 5s is literally a perfect fit for my hand so anything bigger would require two hands which is something I don't want.

I would personally like to see a iPhone with more Ram and better battery life.

Good luck finding something else. If you haven't been paying attention, flagship smartphones aren't getting smaller.

Eh. It's just a trend. You won't see many flagships get too much bigger than 5 inches, I don't think. Save for phones like the LG G3 which is 5.5 inches. The differentiator there though is the bezel is incredibly small on the G3, so it's basically a 5.5 in phone in a 5 in phone body. I do think you'll see small tablets like the iPad Mini die out, though.

Absolutely it's a trend. Just like phones got super tiny for like five years before smart phones came out. The Note absolutely changed the game. There's no argument there. And phones have definitely gotten bigger. But like I said, the only way the 5.5" truly becomes mainstream is if the bezels get smaller too. That's one major disappointment I had with the 6+. There's getting used to a screen size, sure. But I deal with enough customers everyday who don't want to even go bigger than their iPhone 4S.

What happens if I pay the phone off after 20 months, obviously I own the phone at that point right?

My friendly suggestion? Stay away.

You already dislike the iPad - the iPhone will be no different.
