I did hear something on one of the iPhone YouTube channels that Apple is working on a new technology for their screen on the 8.

Yeah that's the rumor. It's supposed to be OLED based from what I've heard.

Regardless, I disagree with the notion that this is a minor upgrade. I'll be jumping from the 6 to the 7 Plus and the camera is going to be worth it alone, IMO. The headphone jack removal sucks, but really won't impact me all that negatively. I just hope Bluetooth ear buds can catch up quickly, especially from a battery standpoint.

My wife and I are making the jump from the 6 as well. We went the entire two year cycle from launch to launch. We are both doing the 7 plus.

Question, Apple is offering 225 per iphone 6. I see ATT our carrier is only offering like between 150-180, anybody have suggestions on what to do? Go through ATT or Apple?

Question, Apple is offering 225 per iphone 6. I see ATT our carrier is only offering like between 150-180, anybody have suggestions on what to do? Go through ATT or Apple?

I'm using a company called NextWorth. They have pretty solid reviews online and will give me $225 straight to my PayPal account once I unlock my phone. $210 if it's not unlocked.

When I worked for AT&T, we'd always have bonus trade ins. It wouldn't surprise me if they offered up to $250 with the bonus, but you usually have to do that in store and there's obviously the risk they won't and prices drop.

I think I'm gonna upgrade through Apple's upgrade program. Try to keep my 6S Plus and maybe give it to my wife. Or eventually sell it to pay down what I owe for the 128GB black version.

I'm going to do the same. I always get AppleCare, so if I truly upgrade once a year, it'll be cheaper than buying the AppleCare separately.

Depends. If ATT offers a lower price with a 2 year contract and you don't mind that then do it. With Apple upgrade plan, you get an unlocked phone.

Just got quoted $235 for each iphone 6 64gb phones we have. I locked it in. If ATT offers something better within the next week, we can just go that route and let NextWorth 30 days pass on by.

Ok, just pre ordered in the att store.

They gave my wife and I 650 per iphone, towards a new iphone. We both got the 256gb iphone 7 plus for 600 combined. So, thats like 300 per phone like old school for 2 year contracts. Perfect!

Damn! Verizon tells me they give up to like 295 for my 64GB 6S Plus which is why I'm just gonna go through apple if I upgrade

If you switch to ATT from another carrier you get 650 credit towards new iphone 7 or 7 plus.

Wonder if apple will offer something like this for people as well, no matter the carrier you have. Hmm.

As far as i know, your service is still through a carrier but your iPhone will be unlocked

The Apple Upgrade Program allows you to conintue your current plan with your carrier, you just simply pay for your phone through Apple.

For example, I used to be on the Next plan. Last year I switched to Apple's plan. I still operate under the same data, text, etc., that I did with ATT, I just pay for my phone through Apple now.
