Anyone have the the most current firmware 4.3.3 jailbroken? I'm looking into jailbreaking my iPhone 4 for now. I'm just not sure what to use?

I have it jailbroken. It was an easy process using redsnow. It just depends if you need an unlock or not. I didn't.

Exactly how is Winterboard impacting performance? I've been using it for a while now and the only time I notice a drain on the battery is if I use themes that access the net. I've limited my use of these to the lockscreen with weather info and by extending the update intervals, it barely hits my battery use.

Does 4.3.3 break the themes? I've been contemplating whether it's worth upgrading my JB from 4.2.1 since there's hardly any "must-have" in 4.3.3

I jailbroke my phone just for LockInfo and I have noticed performance decrease, especially when flipping quickly through apps or switching between apps.

Lol, hypocrisy is what apple did with iOS 5, they hate Cydia, them they go out and hire help from Cydia, then they say the this new update is magical, what new about it, nothin as usual, just apple being apple.... I can smell the fanboyism.....

Battery drain isn't the only way to measure performance. System performance and memory usage are impacted. Minimally, but still impacted.

As fish mentioned, lockinfo is a bigger hog. Having similar features run at system level seems to make the difference, even if it is just beta right now.

Just upgraded to the 4 today. Got 3 great years out of my 3g. Hoping to get 3 great years out of the new one!

Now to get everything transferred and put the old one up for sale. I'm gonna miss it. What a great phone it was for me.

I need help on how to change icons! I know how to download themes via Cydia but how do I add downloaded themes via openSSH?

My 3g is still kickin, got it a little over two years ago. It has slowed down quite a bit, but doesn't give me too many problems. I'm trying to hold out until the next version is released, but it's hard.

It's easier to direct you to a YouTube search rather than give you step by step direction. There are a ton of vids that will help you out.

I'm sure if I got really anal with performance, I'd notice these effects too. Using it how I normally use my iPhone though, I don't notice anything pre-JB and post-JB.

Once iOS 5 releases, I'll probably keep it un-jailbroken unless I want to theme it. I'll miss biteSMS' functionality though!

Yeah, I'm a stickler for details and it is just a MINIMAL impact in performance, but an impact nonetheless.

I'm not sure if you had a 3G, but man was that thing dog slow when using WB. Had to make system level changes to UI art to avoid a performance hit.

I jailbroke my 1st-gen iPod Touch waaay back. While I certainly didn't think it was slow back then, I do so now after the 4. My brother had a 3G and though he didn't jailbreak his, it was definitely slow when it was upgraded to iOS 4.

Either way, people will choose for themselves whether it's worth the effort to jailbreak their phones. iOS 5 will certainly lessen the need to do so.

I hope apple finally realise that not only verizon and AT&T customers uses iPhones, that they should send out an update to unlock all carriers
