All jokes aside - I'm serious. I see people expecting things from the iPhone that defy logic - like an SD Card or removable battery.

That's not something you're going to get here yet people still expect it.

There are plenty of options on the market. Go with what works for you. Do you buy a Honda Accord then complain it's too slow and doesn't corner well? Do you buy a GT-R then complain you can't fit your new HDTV in the trunk?

Apparently I'm old and grumpy now - seems like people would rather bitch and moan about what things aren't than what they are.

I would say it's extremely telling when people of a different device are always looking back here. If you were that content with what you had, you wouldn't be looking elsewhere.

I think the whole OS(operating system) fanboyism is nuts!!!! I use both, like both.

I guess that's my point. For $200-$600, I'm expecting an out of the park upgrade.

I still have my upgrade option(have a 3G ATM)but I'll probably end up getting the 4S instead as a bigger screen and a better camera don't really do much for me.

Buyers will always expect more, so we should just chill.. we all know Apple won't come thru with most things. Androids about customization.

Apple is about reliability..

To each their, I prefer Android.... but I won't knock Apple

I would still get the 5. Here is why:

1) You'll have future OS support for at least 2 years. Apple typically drops old hardware with a 2 product life-cycle.

2) The processor is THAT much better than the 4S.

3) There is no price difference for LTE right now. And it's damn fast.

You are better served for the future with the 5 than the 4S. I wouldn't recommend to anyone, today, to purchase a 4S even if it meets their needs with the only difference being $100.

And if you don't buy what he is saying - get a phone that has NFC and enjoy. You just did the same thing I mentioned a few posts earlier.

Yes, I'm not sure if NFC will ever take off. People wanted it because if Apple is with it, the user base for NFC explodes and then who knows. I guess that would be my disappointment for them not including it. Is it necessary as is now? No. It's like most technology, it only advances if the user base is there and no denying if the Iphone 5 had it, the number of people with NFC phones would have doubled by the end of the year.

I will say this.. my friend speed tested his new 5, while we were at work and got over 10 mb/s download. That's insane.. was much faster than the new Galaxy, when put side by side on the same network.

I'm not saying that to start anything.. I prefer Android, but I was impressed with how fast the iphone 5 was.

That's your opinion. I've used widgets on my work phone and they aren't really useful. It's a phone and I think we should stop expecting all of the things other phones have.

We could ask why this and why that all day but its futile. We don't know and are only throwing around our opinions on why. This is the iPhone discussion thread lets try to discuss what we actually have and can help each other with.

The only place I'd even want widgets would be the pull down bar. I love my homescreen as is. Widgets make things look cluttered in my opinion.

May have been discussed for the folks with the 4 and no ability to upgrade due to the stupid losing unlimited data plans anyone notice that week lost the YouTube app during update.

Jerks didn't tell me that I would have never downloaded the update if I knew I was losing the YouTube app.

Google has it's own Youtube app you can download. Just sign in and you will still have all your playlists and favorites.
