I love it, glad I got it. I think they only sell the 8 GB now, unless you can find a store that still has some 4 GB's left over.

Question about the plans for the phone...

Considering I'm (hopefully) getting a job soon, I was thinking about asking for the iPhone for Christmas and switching to Cingular (I have Verizon now) and paying for it myself. I see that there are 3 options with 450 minutes being the minimum. Is there any way you could take away minutes and add more texts without increasing the monthly payment? I probably don't even need 150 minutes, and my text message total (incoming + outgoing) is usually around 2,000 a month, so I'd like to change it if possible. If not, how much does it cost to add more texts? Paying 60 a month for that and then 70-75 for car insurance seems like a bit much, but I'd do anything to get this phone.

Everytime I hear these two certain commercials I feel like hanging myself.

The one where some tool comes on and he goes on and on about how he had to carry so many gadgets and gizmos before the Iphone. He claims he had two phones, one for texting and one for calls. ****ing douche.

The second is the one where some swine raves about the revolutionary ability to be able to scroll through different voice mails. He swears up and down that this somehow enhances his life. WTH

I hate my life when these come on.

You don't need to unlock it now with the latest version of firmware and iTunes.

Just take any mp3, change the extension to .m4r and import it into iTunes.

Now you can have Randy Orton or The Rock's theme anytime someone calls you!

I just tried that and it didnt work. Does it have to be a Itunes purchased mp3?

You have to have 1.1.2, iTunes 7.5 and a sound file less than 30 seconds.

Hope that clarifies it a bit.

Here is the deal with that. No one carries around a second phone for 'text messaging." I have to think his other phone was a blackberry. I do know people who have a blackberry, and do not have the phone part activated.

Now he cant say "I had a blackberry"

So he just says text messaging.


Thats the only way i can make logical sense of it.

I am really starting to want one of these. Not sure if I want to pay $400 + though...Might wait until Feb when I can upgrade my phone again. Usually when you upgrade the phones are a little cheaper.

Not with the iphone dook. It won't be any cheaper than it is right now until the new version comes out (whenever that is).
