Don't hate Paris Hilton... if you want to hate... hate the people that love her and defend her. I was watching CNN that other day with caller after caller of people so depressed with their own pitiful existance that they hold her up as a role model simply because her life "seems so exciting."

That's a good point...I'm not hating on her for all this, personally. I'm hating on the court system that lets this happen. I've read articles and seen info on how tons of judges are giving first time offenders jail time for exactly what she did, and yet the system is letting her escape? The Cali court system is jacked up.

It's not Paris' fault. Sure, she's a ditz, idiot, whatever, but she's just defending herself after her own stupidity. Blame the courts that allow her to buy her way out of trouble.

She will continue to go out & be careless & drive drunk, etc. Yes, I detest those that are her supporters, but also hate her because she feels she is above the law, & with her getting out "early", all she did was get some more "free" publicity..

it says she was released from prison for medical reasons... so maybe she wasn't eating or sleeping... is that really a reason to release someone though? Seems like it would be an easy way out.

If that's a reason then there are a lot of people who deserve to be let out.

Yeah, now California just gave every single prisoner a precedent to demand out of jail. I seriously wonder how many writs of habeas will be filed in California within the next week. Lord knows if I was a defense attorney in California (and I almost took the California bar exam this summer) I'd file one for every last one of my clients. If this excuse for anal sex can get out because she doesn't like the food, then every other prisoner not serving a murder or rape sentence should too.

I really really hope that people try to get out of prison using whatever defense Hilton used.

She's driven with a suspended license and drive drunk on several occasions. That's enough for me to hate her, even disregarding the thousands of other things she deserves to be hated for.

they say for an undisclosed medical condition and on fred roggins radio show they said they found out it was just a skin rash. nah I'm not kidding and its a good chance they are correct.

kevin fraiser was also on and they gave her an allowance inside for her hair extensions so this rash thing may bot be far too

I read the documents at TMZ, and basically She has to serve the full 40 days with the ankle bracelet at home as opposed to 23 days (Good Behavior) in jail.

I hate the way they say its because of a medical condition thats such BS.

I didn't think that she would go to jail at first but once she got there I thought that she was actually going to have to serve out her whole sentence.

Personally, I think the sentences for drunk driving should be (all mandatoy upon conviction, like selling crack rocks):

First offense: 1 year in prison

Second offense: 5 years in prison

Killing someone: Life

Killing 3+: Death Penalty

It'd get drunk drivers off the street and even out prison pops way quick.

I think the point of the story is this:

Paris Hilton is not only an annoyance to the sane people of this country, but she's also so annoying that even a prison with trained guards couldn't stand having her around for more than a few days.

We can probably call this a talent. Amazing gift.
