TCM, Silence of the Lambs, and Psycho are not based on true stories.....however they are based on the real life of Ed Gein.

I thought it would've been pretty obvious that any movie that was actually based on truth was not really included.

I was more referring to the slasher - Friday the 13th/Jason type movies.

Obviously the "horror-type" movies that are actually based on fact would be realistic.

Apparently that wasn't made clear, though.

TCM is based on Ed Gein, but what happens in the movie is purely fictional.

Wolf Creek is based on a true story, but then trumped up to make it seem more interesting and using the legends instead of facts. It was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

The trailer was pretty cool. Finding cool and interesting ways to kill people is fine with me as long as the story continues to progress in an interesting way. I'm sure I'll see it when it come out on DVD, but probably not in the theater.

That looks more like a teaser trailer, so I'm just hoping that there is going to be another one that's like two to three minutes long.

Overall, I didn't really like the trailer's style... I hope you know what I mean, because in a way, the franchise is going further and further away from the style of the original than I would have ever expected. And in that sense, I'm hoping that the franchise isn't going super Hollywood or anything, now that they have such a big budget. Nevertheless, I think I'll give this movie a chance too, only because I've been hearing more about it being a separate-from-trilogy kind of movie.

Thanks EG, I can't wait for this movie............plus, if the officer is abducted when Amanda and Jigsaw are dead, who else is a part of the plan.

Not much advertising yet, but I did see a commercial for Saw 4 last night.

Tag line should be

"If it's Halloween, then it must be another ****ty Saw sequel"

With that said, I'll probably end up seeing it because I'm a horror nut.
