Nickelback=Most overplayed Band Ever.

I'm serious. Is there any doubt that this decent but not great band is by all accounts the single most overplayed group in music history?

In Bham...I have to hear "Rockstar" and "If Everyone Cared" about 10 times a friggin day...be it on the radio or at work. "Animals" is about the same.

If I hear Chad Kroeger's voice...it now makes me want to pull out a Mac-10 and go mow some people down.

Please go away Nickelback.

Maroon 5 is much more overplayed.

The only Nickelback song that I ever hear on the radio is Far Away, which is a damn good song IMO.

Regardless, the majority of the bands played on Clear Channel sound the same so its hard for me to tell them apart unless I'm really paying attention.

I liked Nickelback until they started releasing the same song over and over again, just under different titles.

I just CAN'T stand that guys voice. It's VERY fake and forced and unnatural. And all their stuff sounds the same.

I like Nickelback but I'll agree they are overplayed and most of their songs do sound the same.

You like Rockstar?! Are you kidding? There's actually a lyric that says "I'll have a quesidilla..." Seriously, what musical genius comes up with these lines.

The only Nickelback song I like is Leader of Men, from there very first album. Besides that, its all equally horrible.

I like one Nickleback song...Side of a Bullet. Thank God for XM, I never hear them, if they come on, I switch to another station

It sucks to not have XM radio. Around here all that our radio stations play is Akon and Nickelback -- two of the worst artists ever.

Nickelback's first song (from 2002) was decent...until they kept releasing it. And as for Akon, he is nothing more than this year's Sean Paul. Hopefully he goes away too.

The biggest travesty was when one of the stations around here took the "If Everyone Cared" song and mixed it with quotes from the VT shooting. That was cringe-worthy.

Are you surprised? They are the most generic and simplistic rock band out there, so they appeal to the masses. The public doesn't want to hear talent, they want to hear the same kind of boring hook oriented music over and over again.
