Can someone who doesn't care read it and tell us if they thought it was believable?

Sorry for doble post, but you can click on the link and it doesn't reveal anything, just tells you how they thinkit is a fake and that filming has wrapped up as of yesterday.

It could be real, but it wouldn't be surprising if we found out that this was a fake, planted by Abrams. It's not very detailed, and under the last day of production, August 8th, it just says "That's a wrap!" I don't know how realistic that would be on an actual call sheet, although I admit I've never seen one before.

Alot of Movies shoot the ending during the first few weeks, so just because it said its a wrap doesnt mean they shot the ending that day.

That could be another coverup. Either way, I'm sure Paramount wasn't happy about any information being leaked, even if it might be false.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I think they rushed to put out the movie poster because of all the speculation thats been going on. And honestly, if they kept it a secret for a few more months, maybe adding new trailers in upcoming movies, ie the Simpsons, and by giving out subtle hints in websites (slusho.jp) it would have brought even more excitement to the movie.

I'm only hoping that theres not 1 monster, but at least 6. If you go to the slusho.jp website it hints that "You can't drink just 6". Which I'm thinking that there are 6 monsters, and a 7th "super" monster (maybe the mother of the 6)
Is it me or was I correct that this movie would lose all its luster once they revealed what the movie was truly about? I think the marketing department for this movie needs to all get fired. If they only held out for a few more months, this movie would have generated more excitement, but ever since they revealed the poster and the sea-monster type of monster, the hype is gone.

Before they did all this, I remember at least seeing some new clue of some sort daily trying to reveal exactly what this movie was about. Now? Its nothing more to me than a B-rated movie that is way overhyped.

I believe I was the first to hate on the movie. To me, you have to go all or nothing. Either reveal what the movie is, or nothing after the first trailer. But in today's internet world, I don't know if that's possible.

Ya I was reading some of the older posts while I was trying to search for the viral website, and noticed your post. You were one of the first ones. And you maybe right that keeping things a secret, especially in the internet world is almost impossible, but they were doing just fine with the subtle hints they would give out. Just look at the Dark Knight discussions. All they do is post little hints on their viral websites, and it craves every fan's attention for more. This movie was doing so well. Then they go on and reveal the poster, and now even the viral websites are out of date.

Somebody posted that they were excited for a few movies, one of them was War of the Worlds.

I have a feeling this movie will be as bad or worst as War of the Worlds. And I thought that movie A.B.S.O.L.U.T.E.L.Y. S.U.C.K.E.D.

I actually really liked that movie.

I still have high hopes for this movie. I haven't read a single spoiler yet, so I still feel like nothing has been released about the movie.

I don't get why some people are getting down on this movie?

NOTHING is known about the monster so let's not jump to conclusions...it could turn out to be something awesome, never know. I don't think it's lost any luster or any of the curiosity factor at all...in fact, it intrigues me even more that nothing has been revealed and it's still all speculation.

Part of me thinks it might be cool if the monster is never revealed, even in the movie. Have different characters in the movie speculate and for your own opinion...but then again, I don't think that'd work for people who want it now and want everything laid on a silver platter for them.

After Halloween, there isn't another movie I'm looking forward to more...1/18/08 can't get here fast enough.

Not for sure but I thought I remember reading somewhere that it would be or at least a majority of it would be.

The premise is that the people's footage is found in rubble so I would assume that it would be.
