I thought Signs did an alright job with the aliens.
This part still gives me chills.

Re: J.J. Abrams Trailer - "Cloverfield"
It's sad that I'm already wondering when Cloverfield will hit the shelves on DVD. It's the second day it's been out, and I've already seen it twice, and I'm just itching for more. I sure hope they release a special edition with more scenes and director/producer commentary.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: J.J. Abrams Trailer - "Cloverfield"
The violent shaking didn't give me me nausea, but it was irritating.
SpoilerThe little parasite creatures reminded me of spiders more than crabs, but i guess.
One more thing that makes no sense at all to me is
SpoilerHow is it that some born sea creature and the parasites that eat off of it, that has lived in the ocean for however long just happen to both be amphibious although they've never been out of water? Didn't have to go back in the water either to survive, even though the monster was being bombed more than iraq.
It was a great adventure flick though. Felt it ended too soon and all and for all of the characters in the movie
SpoilerI blame the main guy because it was basically because of his decisions to talk to and look for one girl that got them all killed, including the girl.Comment

Re: J.J. Abrams Trailer - "Cloverfield"
monster spoilers/questions ahead
SpoilerDoes anyone else hope that maybe something comes out to explain the monster or gives us a sequel that explains the monster? I know I'm nerding out on this but for a sea creature neither the big monster or the little ones seemed very well adapted for swimming. http://www.1-18-08.com makes it seem like it swam under water and ate whales, so I at least think it was a under-water creature.Comment

"The concept for the monster (affectionately known simply as “Clover” in-house) is simple, says Abrams. “He’s a baby. He’s brand-new. He’s confused, disoriented and irritable. And he’s been down there in the water for thousands and thousands of years.”
And where is he from? “We don’t say – deliberately,” notes Goddard. “Our movie doesn’t have the scientist in the white lab coat who shows up and explains things like that. We don’t have that scene.”
Not only is the creature disoriented – he’s downright angry. “There are a bunch of smaller things – humans – that are annoying him and shooting at him like a swarm of bees,” observes Reeves. “None of these things are going to kill the monster, but they hurt it and it doesn’t understand. It’s this new environment that it finds frightening.”
This makes it all the more confusing though, which is why it brings more questions than answersComment

Does it make me gay if I turned to the girl I went with and said the Lily's shoes were a terrible choice to wear that night?Comment

They should make a sequel just focusing on Lily.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: J.J. Abrams Trailer - "Cloverfield"
umm, did you see it? Some of that camerawork was awful, first person perspective or not. Watching a movie and not know what is happening, along with the fact that they already left plenty of things unexplained is a bad combo.Comment
