I don't really care how to get out of a swamp. Make it fun to watch and I will. Bear Grylls does that. Even with it dramatized, I'll still watch it.
Well great, at least you admit you just watch it for entertainment. Not a reality show about a person truly surviving in the wild. Kinda like a good ole Disney story.

Fake as all hell, but still good ole entertainment!

      Comedic Gold!

Yea they are so much alike no doubt. Seeing as their act is so similar and all.

how relevant is a show where a guy truely shows you how to survive in the wild? Like how many times will you fly over the amazon or the African plains in a outdated plane? If the show would have been able to stand on its own, the producers wouldn't have had to script things and lie about stuff. Man vs Wild is more sensational and Bear performs well for the camera.

Discovery isn't about teaching you anything anymore. They are all about entertainment. Stuff like dirty jobs, mythbusters, i shouldn't be alive, and the other survival shows are meant for entertainment. They even have that stupid cash cab show.

Well damn! There you go, they caved in and catered to your needs.

Bear Grylls-More entertaining-less informative. (your case)
            Les Stroud-Less entertaining-more informative. (mine)

Keep watching your show (however long it still lasts).

I have no problem with that, I just want a true survival show for me.

            That is all.

Seriously, but the Bear lovers will still love him because they admit it "its just entertainment, not real", no biggie.

Ruined for me when I read that thread I posted earlier from 7/7/07. Dude was sunk from there on. More so when they posted the thread starting article that said he was in Hotels LOL.

Punk arse Hack. Nothing more, Nothing less.

People will continue to watch him for his shoddy act, and his hacky charisma they love so much. LOL.

Man, it is awesome how so many will continue to watch a hack, just for the entertainment regardless of the authenticity of his show's claims.

Honestly KDRE, it is not. I just keep sitting here atop the hill fighting off all of the ones that live in Jones.... err Beartown.

No TOS violations whatsoever, just good ole arguments. Over a hack.

boltman it was funny man. Some threads on OS turn into the best humor.

I've watched man vs wild a bit. It's cool to watch but im not surprised some things were staged or scripted. I've murmured jokes to myself about it plenty.

I can appreciate both shows though, saw some survivor man tonight.

You have to admit Discovery is one cool channel worth having.
