I just got back. Great movie. I really enjoyed it. I would liked to see it again if I had the chance. Crowe and Bale were both terrific, but Ben Foster definitely stole the movie - amazing performance, I loved his role.

Re: 3:10 To Yuma remake
This movie was excellent. Slow-paced, but full of action. Incredible music. Crowe, Bale, and Foster were absolutely perfect in their roles. It was actually pretty damn humorous too, but I think that is to be expected of a movie like this.
Definitely recommend going to see this one.
I have further thoughts but I'll reserve them until more people have seen the movie, because I don't want to give any spoilers.Comment

For you guys who have seen it, any memorable lines? like in the unforgiven when gene hackman said "I was building a house" or clint eastwood says "If anyone touches these hookers i'll come back here and kill everyone one of you sons of a *earmuffs*!!"....or my favorite line when the Kid says to William Munny "He had it coming didn't he?" and Munny looks off into the distance and says "We all got it comin' kid.."This movie was excellent. To the guy who hasn't seen The Unforgiven yet, dude PLEASE go rent it this weekend and watch it. It is, no question, one of the best, most complex, most intelligent and deep westerns ever put on the big screen. The characters are just so believable, even the bad guys are not just "bad guys" but have real depth. There aren't any "catchphrase" lines, I don't think. However, there are some pretty memorable ones. Not TOO many, though.Comment

Re: 3:10 To Yuma remake
The entire theatre was rolling at my showing. Great line. Alan needs to do more of those roles, he's great at it.
I also liked Crowe's "Even bad guys love their mamas," but I think I like it better in conjunction with his follow-up action.

Re: 3:10 To Yuma remake
So, Matrix, what did you think of the ending? I've read a couple reviews/complaints over at RT about how the ending side-swipes the movie, but I just don't see it.

Re: 3:10 To Yuma remake
SPOILERS
That's exactly what I was going to comment about. I just felt like, such an awesome movie throughout, and the ending just left me with my head scratching. I'm not even one of those "Wow, the ending got me thinking" or "Wow, the ending was amazing" types, but this was just confusing. So he just kills his boys, then says "Hey, thats it, everyone's dead now, I'm gonna go to Yuma"? It doesn't make sense considering he spent the whole damn time trying to get out from under the control of the watch-group. It was just weird. I don't buy that whole "He feels sorry for Evans" stuff either. It wasn't a bad ending, it just didn't fit in with how the movie was. Also, I have not seen the original, so I don't know if this same thing happens in that version.
