    SPOILERS

The ending, didn't really bother me at all. I think the beginning of the movie when Wade kills Tommy set Wade up to be able to kill anybody. If you put him and his "gang" in danger, or basically just go against him, he'll kill you. Maybe Wade did feel sorry for Dan, because if he didn't, I doubt he would have stopped strangling him. The reason why Wade changed isn't significant to me. Wade obviously made a conscious decision to help Dan get him to the train, so it was like Wade took Dan into his gang. When Charlie Prince shot Dan, I felt like it was him going against the wishes of his boss (though he didn't realize it), so thats why him and the others got killed. But Wade going to Yuma was never a big question in my mind, especially since he whistles for his horse to follow because like Wade said, he's been to Yuma twice and has escaped twice and it looks like he'll escape for a third time.

I saw this on Monday. The movie was great, one of the best modern Western movies i've seen and definitely the best movie I've seen so far this year. Christian Bale and Russell Crowe are most assuredly two of our best actors today, right up along side Denzel.

Did you guys know Christian Bale actually stayed in the desert for weeks to get his face to look sunburnt and dirty the way he did in the movie, none of his look in the movie was makeup. That's dedication!

              SPOILERS.......

The ending completely made sense to me. Wade had realized that he did have some good in him and what he had been doing was wrong, so coupled that with the anger at them killing Dan, he killed the people from his gang that he knew were unredeemable. He then got on the train to Yuma, which is what he felt he owed the law and Dan that much, but then if you noticed, he whistled for his horse, which meant he had every plan to escape. In my mind, I could see him escaping but then finding a place to settle down and becoming an average Joe type guy and leaving his lawless and brutal ways behind him, effectively meaning the movie was not only about redemption for Dan but also for Wade.
