    Re: G.I. Joe movie

I came in with the expectations of a live action movie of the cartoon and it lived up that and me in more. If anyone is going in expecting a killer plot with loads of twists and turns and you were going to the wrong movie. The characters are supposed to be over the top and say cheesy lines. I really don't think it's fair of the movie to expect more, I for one hope this becomes a franchise.

I was expecting an entertaining action movie, which this wasn't. Snake Eyes was the only cool character.

His feud with his bro Shadow was the only interesting storyline in the movie. Only interesting part of the movie actually...

I think my expectations were so low that I actually enjoyed the movie. There were some things that really bothered me, such as:
          Spoiler

I did really like everything with Snake Eyes/Stormshadow though. Overall, it was decent, but that was probably due to my low expectations to begin with.

Agreed. In all my rage, I forgot to mention that their storyline was the only entertaining aspect of the film, though I was disappointed with the limited environment in their duel.

YP, why would you of all people watch this movie? LOL

I worked on GIJoe, and I still steered clear of this nonsense. speaking of working on GIJoe, here's an old Cobra Commander comic book cover I did a few years back.

                I don't know, man.

I had a bad news family week and friends thought it would be a good idea to go out and get away from it and they wanted to see GI Joe. I thought, oh well, I'll let go for an action flick and just try to enjoy it. But, the raging critic in me came out and I just kept shaking my head as I watched.

That's cool that you worked on the film. What did you do? I had a friend work on it as well.

I liked it. Sienna Miller is smokin' hot. Good fight scenes. In no way is the movie awful. Maybe mediocre.

Whoa whoa! I must have phrased that weird. I worked on the *property* GiJoe. Not the film. I've drawn ten or eleven GIJoe comics, as well as working on the toys for about three years.

LMAO. The only good thing about the movie I keep hearing is Snake Eyes/Shadow.

Does everyone think alike? It's ridicoulus imo how everyone likes ninja's. It's almost pratically universal

Or, maybe, they really are the only good part of the movie?

I didn't expect anything else - the two of them were always the best part of the cartoons, too.

Just got back. Preposterously awesome. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would bother reviewing a movie like this because it was just completely unreviewable in any context. Did it have tons of action? Hell yes. Could you have possibly crammed any more action, CGI, gadgets and ridiculousness into the movie? Probably not. Did Sienna Miller look absolutely smoking as the Baroness? Of course. Did practically none of it make almost any sense? Pretty much. I felt like I needed to shower after watching the movie. I would definitely recommend seeing it though, if only because it may be a long time before something this crazy comes down the pike again. Until the inevitable sequel. But man, that movie was f'ing awesome. I feel like actually joining GI Joe right now.

                            One beef....

I don't know what people were expecting, but it was every bit as cheesy as the G.I.Joe cartoon and did the product justice. It could have been WAY worse....
