"Jack, with your permission I'd like to go with John," is one of the greatest quotes in Lost history.

What was the website mentioned on the Vantage Point commercial to enter the number clue for Lost?

When the show is referring to the oceanic 6, I believe it is just referring to those who decided to get off the island. I believe many probably decided to stay on the island. John, Sun, Jin.....and maybe some more. That is probably why that "Oceanic Lawyer" wanted to know if there were more on the island.

Can someone please tell me what happened in the last minute of tonight's show? My DVR cut off right when Jack and Kate were talking near the plane and it was raining. Anything earth shattering?

Is tonight the first time the Oceanic 6 thing has been brought up, or did it come up on a previous episode?

I know that was the first time I've heard it mentioned.

Jeremy Davies always plays characters who are weak-willed and let you down when you need him most. He's going to screw over a lot of people.

Ok, so is Hurley the 2nd person he's appeared to on the island? He may have been Jacob when Ben took Locke to his cabin last season, it was too hard to tell. Vincent the dog has also seen him. Anybody else that has seen him?

Well, except when he played this guy a few years back.

Tonight's flash forwards was definitely before Jack's flash foward (Jack's comment about wanting to grow a beard and the fact that he wasn't depressed about going back yet).

I wonder if it was one of the 6 that dies (the funeral he goes to). Who would it be that really sets him off enough to go suicidal? It was clear he didn't really like the person because when the funeral director says "family or friend," he says "neither."

So glad this show is back and so sad we're only getting 8 of the 16 episodes because of the strike. 16 straight episodes would have been pure awesomeness.

Jack's dad in the chair is crazy. I don't think anyone else has seen Jack's dad, maybe someone else can chime in.

Did Hurley see Locke looking at him from inside the house? I think that is what happened, or did he suddenly just run into Locke in the woods after being freaked out from the shack?

Jack was already with full beard and drinking heavily before he saw the obituary in the paper.

Yeah, that's true. It seemed to be him reading the article about the suicide that really pushed him to want to take his own life, though.

Also, both Jack and Hurley in their flash forwards mentioned they're tired of lying and Hurley asked Jack if he was worried he would tell. What are they lying about? My guess is they lied about the other people on the island. Maybe they told everyone they are the only survivors and now they feel guilty about it and want to go back?

I don't think anyone could have asked for a better season premier. They moved the plot line a good amount last night - they didn't waste time *****footing around which is a good sign for the future of this show (it should stay on par w. the latter half of Season 3).

                              Just some notes....

                              - Hurley's FF is definitely before Jack's in the S3 finale, as most on here have said. That was awesome when he said, "I'm sorry, I should have gone with you and not Locke."

                              - The Oceanic 6. I do not think Walt and Michael are included in that.

                              - It's interesting that in Hurley's FF Jack is completely against going back to the Island as Hurley recommends, yet in his FF in S3 he's desperately trying to get back. So the obvious question here is, what events lead him to the change of heart?

                              - Jacob either is or controls the smoke monster. He sent a Smokey Walt to save John in the S3 finale. It was Jack's father in the chair, but I don't think that's all that out of the ordinary. Locke's father was also on the Island, although we do not know if he was alive or dead before he arrived.

                              - The Noami thing bothered me a little. She's been stabbed in the back yet manages to get up and limp into the jungle (which appears to be about a 100 yards away) with no one noticing? Then she manages to climb a tree while 95% dead? I'm not going to dwell on this but it was a little far fetched. Another interesting thing is that while Noami is in her final moments she still seems genuine that her and her freighter's mission is to rescue people. We know they weren't hired by Penny, but there may be a twist or more than we know now regarding the "bad" people coming to the Island. Maybe there are only a few people on the freighter who want to get to the Island for non-rescue reasons and Noami and others were not aware of it. Perhaps that could lead to a split amongst them similar to the Others in S3.

                              - Kinda weird that Desmond decided to stay with Jack even though he was the one who first-hand (no pun intended) saw Charlie deliver the message that it wasn't Penny's boat. Perhaps he wants to see first hand who they are.

The flash-forwards are going to be brilliant, this has a good chance to be the best season yet.
