Don't you need 4 people to play Euchre?

Its better with 4 people, but all you really need is one person, a rickety rocking chair, and an apparition that mumbles help me.

What did Hurley see? I know he saw someone sitting in the chair, then the next thing he saw was someone looking at him through the glass. I didn't see who it was and haven't had time to check the lost forums for screen shots. Anyone know who it was after the person sitting in the chair.

I think that was Jacob. I think Christian Shephard is Christian Shephard, not Jacob.

Ben has claimed that the only man he answers to is Jacob. Ben also claimed to be the only one who could communicate with Jacob. While Jacob could be some staged act of Ben's to put the fear of God into people, many speculate Jacob is actually the leader of the Hanso Foundation, Alvar Hanso. The Hanso Foundation are who funds the Dharma Initiative.

In the freeze frames from that scene, you see Jacob, Jack's father Christian, and someone's eye peeping out. They say you can see the same faint scar that Locke has through his eye, but I'm not sure. Although I will say it probably was Locke.

So Jacob & Jacks father are two different people. But Jacks father was definitely sitting in the chair.

So on season one, Was that Jack's father taking a little stroll out of the cabin, or was that just Jack's mind playing tricks on him, unrelated to what we see in the cabin?

                  That's still a mystery.

Same deal that happened with Walt's dad - he was on another show and it did not get picked up, so he is again part of future plot lines for Lost....
Carlton Cuse spoke about this and said that Alpert will be on hold for this season as a result of his actor's commitment to a new show.

I think he was then asked if that meant they would never revisit Alpert again and he reiterated, "On hold."

I'm thinking it's the island messing with them. Mr Eko saw his brother, Kate saw a horse, Hurley saw Dave, Shannon saw Walt, etc. Still, the messed up thing about Jack's dad is how when Jack found his coffin, the body was missing.

Okay, did anyone watch the last episode of LOST: Missing Pieces?

In it, Jack's father, Christian, calls Vincent the dog to go wake-up Jack (Series Premiere episode) and says "He's got a job to do." Now, do we also say that the Island is messing with Vincent as well? Christian Shepherd, for some reason, is playing a very big role in here and having seen that episode PLUS the events in the 1st episode of Season 4 reinforces that.

The mystery of Christian is still pretty big. It's obvious that something is up and he isn't exactly dead.

Christian was said to be dead in the Official Lost Podcast on April 20, 2007, though the creators of Lost qualified their statement by saying that they "may be using the word 'dead' in a sense we [the audience] don't fully understand yet."

I don't think that's spoiler worthy. Just confirms that something is up.

Anyone else think they're using that same sense of the word 'dead' with Charlie?

Or, I guess, maybe it'd be the other way around, since we know Charlie can still touch people and such even though he's dead...but we're just making assumptions about Christian.

However you want to word it, I hope it's understandable.
