Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
It's that only 6 people are recognized off the island by the media. For all we know, there could be more survivors who get off, but aren't part of the Oceanic 6. We really don't know much at this point.Listen to some of my covers:

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
Or like mike just said, maybe the rest just couldn't get off.
I think there's a stronger likelihood that Jin told Sun to leave because he knew she'd die if she stayed. I think this past episode was basically the foreshadowing of that. The end he basically says, "I won't leave you." And now he'll be faced with the decision of knowing that leaving her will be the only way for her and the unborn child to survive.
I doubt most of the people on the Island die while the 6 survive and are living at home chilling like villians. They left people there and Sun left Jin."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
I'm not saying EVERYONE from Oceanic are dead... but I really think Jin is. Again, I find it hard to believe that they'll be split up unless Jin sacrifices himself for Sun. In the same line, I think Claire is dead too.Comment

How do you think Jin and Claire died though?NBA: New York Knicks

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
well, that's sorta impossible to say considering that really hasn't been written yet.but, the writers aren't afraid to kill off people, we know that much. Having said that, the writers have to come up with something EXTRAORDINARY for Claire to give up her baby, and Jin to give up Sun while staying on the island. Plus, do you think Kate wants to leave the island knowing that everyone back home knows that she was the prisoner? Don't you think, if given the option of Jin and Sun splitting up or Kate staying on the island, Kate would stay on the island for them? I dunno, obviously everything is pure speculation, but it's just a gut feeling.

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
another thing is that if jin was on the island wou;ldnt sun know it? seems like it would be pointless to go to a cemetary and cry,etc if you knew he was really alive. either way i have no idea what to think at this point. they want me to beleive he is dead so i guess i will at this point lol.Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
Exactly. I mean, why do people even visit a cemetary in the first place? It's the same deal. The person isn't actually there. They are dead. But, it's a tangible thing for people and it gives them this sense of belief that they are actually communicating with someone."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
I am still not convinced that kid is Jin's. Because when Hurley said he looked just like Jin, Sun got a strange hesitation look on her face. Also, who knows if the Smirk is even telling the truth about the baby's father. Depending on when Sun's affair was and when she got back with Jin. There may have only been a week or 2 lapse. With only an ultrasound I doubt the Smirk would be able to say definitively who the father is.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

the tombstone has the date the plane crashed. they are still hiding the fact that everyone is alive. we do not know the reason yet for this. I'm not 100% sure if Jin is dead or not but Sun could be going to the makeshift grave just to "talk" to Jin since she just had the baby...... There must be a reason she was calling for Jin at the hospital and saying how she wished he was with her and could see their baby..... possibly he's still on the island and she wishes they were together.....Comment

Re: ****Official LOST Season 4 Discussion (Contains Spoilers)**
I have more to say about this but I haven't finished thinking the whole thing out. The one thing I'm almost certain of involves Jin and Sun.
Paik Heavy Industries has a history working with the Hanso Foundation and the Widmore Corporation.
When all things boil over and Jack speaks to Hurley about their need to go back to the Island (because it's gotta be Jack that pushes this issue) he'll use Hurley's friendship with Sun to convince her of the same.
And I'm pretty certain that Sun, knowing that Jin is still on the Island, will find out something that will get her to push her father to help them in some way.
It'll take money to find the Island and Sun has connections to money and the Island. She's the only of the Oceanic 6 - outside of Hurley (and he probably does tap into his account) - that can get the money to find the Island. And Jin is the reason why she'll push for it. She'll want him home."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I am sure Hurley's money is gone for the most part. Once he was pronounced dead on the news I am sure the vultures swooped in and got his cash. He may be able to get it back but I am sure its tied up.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
