Maybe its just me, but reading PK's post, I rarely get the vibe that he's putting his opinions on a pedestal while looking down his noses at the opinions of everybody else on here. PK stands behinds his opinions to the point that they're convictions, which a lot of people don't seem to do. I really don't think PK sees himself or his opinions as the end all or supreme law of music, but he thinks he's right and he has the right to express his opinions especially when prompted. The whole notion of not "understanding" music because you don't like some bands and express that belief on a regular basis is silly, at best.

As for the original topic, I haven't picked up an album since One By One and for me to actually go out and buy another Foo Fighter's album, the band will have to come to my house personally and apologize for that ****fest of an album. Even though I hold both The Colour and the Shape and There Is Nothing Left to Lose in somewhat high regards, I can't get over the fact that all of their albums just feel too much a like, even if they are different sonically (which, for the most part, there isn't that much difference).

Give me a break. That band got too big too fast. They sold a hell of a lot of CD's. So someone liked them. I bet you had the CD and was singing to "Higher" My friends band is Greenday and they are probably going to in up like Creed, when a band get over played and get too big too fast that is what happens. Greenday was made by MTV, just like Creed and Good Charlote. MTV is known for taking ok bands and making them bigger. I will say onething Billie on stage is something to see. He is an entertainer and so was Creed. I have been to about 150 concerts. From Deep Purple to Rainbo and to the Stones. The best concert I have ever seen was Creed. Go figure!

However, their new producer thought it would be a great idea if they threw some old sounds into their new music. It worked, because their new CD is their best outing since Moving Pictures. They have three songs that are just musical. Wow, brilliant, something from the past that worked.

I've only been into the Foo's since the last double CD. I thought it was pretty cool; one CD hard rocking and side 2; jazzy induced acoustic music. I did notice on the first one, slow, crescendo, slow and blood curdling yelps from Grohl, but it wasn't like AOR in the late 70's and early 80's. I can tell when REO, Journey or Styx comes on the radio because of the piano/synthesizer solo followed by guitar solo. Also, the bands above are guilty for beginning every rock band needs a ballad, followed by the hair metal and then heavy metal bands.

Musical opinions are not on fact, it's all subjective. I can't force anyone to like Rush, including my wife, she only likes one song, the chick song, Closer to the Heart.

Yeah Baby I loved Rush. Tom S is a great song. That was a great concert too.

Agree, I respect your opinion even though I think it is BS. That is what is great about opinions. You can disagree and agree. So PK, who is your favorite badn ever and what was the best concert you been? Man, here in the Bay Area. There was nothing better than going to a "Day on the Green Concert" back in the 70'2 and 80's.

All Creed did was consolidate the (at the time) unique qualities of the Big Four Seattle bands into one place.

                This is a great album.

First album in awhile that I can listen to straight through without having to skip a song (though, I do cut "Come Alive" short sometimes when the "Come alive, come alive, come alive" screaming part begins).

I said Creed sucks. Creed always has sucked and still does suck.

                  That's my opinion.

I've never owned a Creed album and never will. A Creed MP3 has never touched my MP3 player and never will.

Green Day was headed for the bargain bin until it released "American Idiot." That was a great album filled with well-crafted songs with great lyrics. A long way from the sophomoric, yet fun "Dookie."

Good list. I love the Doors. I always thought Jim wrote most of the hits. Didn't know Robbie did. Awe, the Who is a great band too. Sex Pistols were just too weird for me, but I did like some of their music. So PK did you have the safety pen lip pierce when you went to a Sex Pistol concert?

While I agree, it does wonder for their Bank accounts though. Like the other poster said it is all subjective when it comes to music. Everybody thinks they are an expert. Well if we are all expert are we making any money off are expertise?
