I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Hey guys, I don't know how many of you follow them; but the website I run just did an interview with Motion City Soundtrack.

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
MCS is awful to me. The vocals are insanely whiny. The other three I haven't checked out but will.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

I loved PATD until I saw them live, they lost all respect once I realized they are not very talented.I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Re: The "Other" Music Thread
Thought I'd get this thread back up and running...
A couple of things I've recently gotten into that are worth sharing:
Bon Iver - "For Emma, Forever Ago"
Tigers Jaw - "Two Worlds"
My Chemical Romance - "Danger Days: True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys"
MCR album is actually, dare I say...fun? It's so much different than their other stuff but I'm loving it. Bon Iver is Indie but really good vocals and just great when you're in a chill mood. I love the song "Lump Sum".
Also, is anyone a fan of City and Colour (Dallas Green's band)?Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
I'm really into two or three bands that are relatively unknown. I mean, they have record deals and what not but just aren't that popular for some reason.
The Sword is one of my all-time favorite bands. I'd compare them vocally to Ozzy but they fall into the category of stoner-metal even though it doesn't really suit them. Their songs are mostly about Norse mythology and their latest album was a concept album about an intergalactic battle. Basically, they are Metal as F***. They have had 3 songs on Guitar Hero (GH2: Freya, GHMetallica: The Black River, GH5: Maiden, Mother and Crone).
Here is my latest favorite, it is off of their album entitled 'Age of Winters':

Also I'm really into 'Clutch' and the band '10 Years'.
Though 10 Years' latest album was kinda meh.Comment

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
I've seen The Sword twice live (once with Coheed and Cambria, the other with Metallica) and liked what I had seen live (obviously knew of them because of Freya from GH fame) but never really checked a full album of theirs.
Stroehms, what would you say their best album is?Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Btw, I'm a huge Metallica fan and when the Sword opened for them in St. Louis, I fell in love with them.Comment

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
They definitely put a badass show both times I saw them. Probably a little better during Coheed because of the venue but enjoyable nonetheless.
I may have to check out GotE then.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
I am more into Metal type bands, I mean I like rock and am very selective on my Rap and Hip-Hop. So I'm looking forward to what others post.Comment

Re: The "Other" Music Thread
Ever heard of Black Tide?
Lyrically, they're pretty bad but musically, I think those guys kick ***. Especially considering their 2008 album was written when they were 16 years old or younger. "Warriors of Time" has one of my favorite solos in it.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment
