I listened to the whole A7x album today, and I'm extremely disappointed. Scream, Critical Acclaim, and Almost Easy are the only tracks on the whole album that are decent.

      Random Notes:
After 10 years of making music as The Blood Brothers, we have made the collective decision that our time together has come to an end. We feel extremely fortunate to have spent such a deeply memorable and amazing part of our lives with each other. At this point, however, we feel it's best that our futures move forward on separate paths.
The Audition's new album Champion will hit stores January 22nd, 2008.

Garth Brooks has overtaken Elvis to become the best-selling solo artist in history.

The country star, who shot to fame with 1990's 'No Fences' album, has sold 123 million units in his career, reports Variety.

Man, I used to love me some Garth, but havent listened to him in years. 'Sevens' I think was the last disc of his that I listened to.

Currently waiting on a link to the new Dillinger.

I bought a copy of Colors by Between the Buried & Me and the El Cantante soundtrack over the past two weeks.

Lately i've been listening to Wilco - Sky Blue Sky (alot the songs are used in the WV commercials if anyone didn't know) and The National - Boxer for the first time. Really good stuff. The Wilco cd sounds somewhat like their earlier stuff but it's still really laid back. Great guitar work. "Boxer" is great as well. Some sick drumming and the lead singer's voice is perfect for the melodies. My favorite song is probably "Mistaken for Strangers" or "Fake Empire".

If you all haven't given Melee a listen, I highly suggest you click this link:

Melee's profile including the latest music, albums, songs, music videos and more updates.

Unfortunately, some of their best songs aren't on there (Rhythm of Rain, especially)... but make sure you listen to Built to Last and Can't Hold On.

EDIT: Looks like Can't Hold On isn't on there anymore, either.

Andrew is one of my favorite musicians, so i'm really looking forward to this. The documentary that will be out later about his struggles with cancer should be interesting.

Same here. Seeing him live was an incredible experience. He brings so much energy to his shows.

Just hope that one day (soon), he starts Something Corporate back up and goes on tour.

                        Finch Is Writing New Music
"So, we had a band meeting on friday night and we decided that we’re going to try and record our new song to put up on our site and myspace as soon as we can. This will be our first truly indie release even if its just one song… whatever still exciting to me. We’re so DIY now a days it rules."
                        -R2K

"Masters Of Tomorrow / Jesus Chords - That is the working title to our first new finch song. In my opinion it is one of the best songs we’ve ever done. Just to fill you in, I had been toying with this song for the last five years and today at practice we finished it. Its fast, big, loud, and heavy. We’ll be playing it on our upcoming tour with tera melos. I can’t wait."
                        -R2K

I'm really pumped for some new Finch music. Hopefully the break helped them with new ideas for songs. I expect big things out of their next album.
