You're telling me that if Nickelback wrote a song promoting using drugs, pimpin out chicks, and getting 20s... That they wouldn't be condemned? The hell they wouldn't! The only thing is, they aren't ******** enough to say the same **** over and over and over and over that millions have said before them. Rap has gotten like glam metal in the late 80's... It's all retreads, nothing new; all just a bunch of ******** copycats(at least in the mainstream; the ones that get listened to)!

That's true for everything and you can blame record labels/radio stations for that. Why are you so angry anyway?

You are correct but only after they rule out hip hop. Those two genres of music gets blamed for everything if its not one its always the other

Never heard any reputible news agency mention Manson or Shinedown during VT. You are reaching. And again there is a big difference between school shootings (happen maybe once every few years ) and constant crime occuring in a commmunity.

Do you even know what that song is about? It's about the ridiculousness of humanity that every single person wants that lifestyle. It isn't promoting the lifestyle... it's saying to ease up, a normal life is just as good.

                -

They mentioned Shinedown on CNN after VT because the shooter used to listen to 45 over and over. They said so that must be the reason he did it. I never said Manson or VT, the shooting last week was blamed on him because the kid listened to him.

It was not Shinedown in the VT shootings. The report was that the shooter listened to the song "Shine" by Collective Soul over and over again.

No... that was a mis-report. It was Shinedown and the reporter thought they meant the collective soul Shine because those words appear in it. His roomate straight up said Shinedown on video, no mention of collective soul.

I would almost buy that if the guys didn't actually do all that stuff. They were on Cribs, they do have a lot of cars, they do abuse drugs, and on and on.

Plus, they also had a big song a few years ago about having sex with a cokehead.

Just because they have it doesn't mean they don't think the fact that everyone aspires to that is ridiculous. I personally know some professional musicians... It's not a pretty lifestyle, not everyone is cut out to do it.

There is the big difference between rock and rap... Rock stars talk about doing drugs, liking the high... Rappers talk about slingin it to get rich...

                          What are you talking about?

                          Google collective soul virginia tech

                          Then google shinedown virginia tech

All of the shinedown results are from the lyrics of collective soul's song. Where do you get your information?

True, but when is the last time a shooting broke out at one of their concerts. Is the members of Nickleback beefin' with 3 Doors Down?? Anybody get killed beefin' over East and West Coast Rock? Seems most fans of "Rock" understand it's entertainment. With "Rap" not so much.

Anyone watch "Beefs" on BET?? That show makes everyone on it look stupid. Anyhow. Good luck in prison T.I.
