I think it's more the other way around. I don't think it's the fans that don't understand that rappers are entertainment, I think it's more often than not rappers who don't understand that they aren't gangsters.

As for TI in prison, he'll probably make another quarter mil. I hate his raps, but that was a great line.

        Your right. Pretty sad.

That's why I'll stick to Jazz,Funk and Rock. Rap lost me years ago.

There are some great rappers... Though nobody knows who they are.

I'm not a hip hop fan, but there are a handful of rappers I enjoy because of thir lyrical matter.

Nah. I'll take Slave and Steve Arrington over Kanye. Bootsie and The Ohio Players over T.I.

If I want deep lyrics I'll read Mya or Langston.

I know you like some good rap. I have read enough of you posts to understand why. That's cool. As far as my taste goes. I'm good.

Yep,your right. But I am old school. I want the lyrics that will drop the panties, not make them duck and cover.

I couldn't agree with you more. You can't make the panties drop with T.I's music. Well you could but then you might be with a hood rat

                        ORLY? This interview?

TUCHMAN: Did he like music, for example?

ANDY: Yeah, he did. He listened to a lot of rock, a lot of Led

Zeppelin, Nirvana, "Shine Down" by Collective Soul.

TUCHMAN: You were saying that there was one song he kept playing over

                        and over? What was that?

                        ANDY: It was "Shine Down."

                        JOHN: Yeah.

                        TUCHMAN: By Collective Soul.

                        ANDY: Yeah.
Seemed pretty certain it was Collective Soul, just got the title wrong (I'm assuming because the lyrics repeat "let your light shine down").

Not meaning to make a big deal and hijack a good thread, but you could say it "grinds my gears" when people make up information to try to make it seem like I'm wrong.
