It's far too late for that now. What this does do is make sure that the Fall Season starts on time.
All I care about are Scrubs and Everybody Hates Chris starting again.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

      Exactly.

There will be impacts for next season as well. We shouldn't expect many new shows in the Fall since we're in the middle of pilot season and there probably aren't a lot of pilot scripts being ordered. Rather than the normal slew of new shows we're going to get reality shows shoved down our throats again.

You're right, unless they can hammer it out quickly.

May is typically the start of the new writing season. But May is only four months away. If the writer's strike goes on for even two more months then May gets affected and that pushes back the Fall Season to maybe late October/early November.

Network Execs are already discussing a year round season. The networks wont pass on the potential revenue that Lost and 24 can bring in just because the TV season typically ends in May/June.

            That would be smart.

Yeah. NBC's president hinted at it a few weeks ago. Too much ad revenue to leave on the table.

haha, I did read that NBC was already paying back advertisers. So now I really don't find this surprising at all.

Can they make good enough money over the summer months? I wonder if tv does well in the summer if we'll see more networks try to have a summer season.

A good amount can be made. Not enough to make up for the amount they lost this winter though. Summer months are rough because of two reasons: Viewers go on vacation and crap programming. If the strike ends in 2 weeks, the networks will just stretch the season into July and have a shorter summer.

If I could get new episodes of The Office during the summer...I would be in heaven.

I hope "Always Sunny In Philadelphia" is not delayed. I wish they made 50 episodes a year of that show.

USA is very successful in the summer, but they decided to cancel those 2 shows.
