Does anyone know if we'll even get a continuation of Jericho? That show was basically dead and with the strike it seems completely dead.

No idea what this article says but it sums up the future of Jericho.

Sounds like good news for Jericho fans.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

So Dave Letterman comes to an agreement with the Writer's Union because he owns his shows.

All talk shows owned by what the WGA calls "struck companies" - meaning all of the networks - will continue to be picketed. And word has gone out to actors that if they want to go on Leno or any of the other shows, they'll have to cross picket lines to do it.

Interesting, because even though he owns his own shows they still air on the CBS network.

            Interesting....

So what kind of guests will Dave attract if the actors will have to cross the lines just to talk to Dave?

Maybe he'll pattern his show after Carson with older guys and gals who aren't on TV shows these days and such.

The movie industry will control this. The stars have create buzz and advertise for their movies and it is in the contracts that they have to make public appearances. They can force them to go on the show or break the contract and who knows how much money they would lose.

The end is coming soon. I don't know how the writers will last much longer. They can't go too many more months without pay and still be able to pay the bills. The networks hold all the cards, game shows, reality, etc are really cheap to make, get good ratings, and get good ads money.

I'm just anxious to see how the Late Night shows will go with new writers.

I'm also relieved that Stewart and Colbert are back next week

I just think those shows really rely on writers. Even Colbert is a heavy reader of the teleprompter.

Prison Break and LOST should be back on soon....but for how long is what I wonder how much they had taped episodes wise.

                          Dave's show is immune.
On the other hand, SAG has gleefully supported the deal between the WGA and Letterman's company, World Wide Pants. That's because actors who finally get to push major movies and upcoming midseason TV shows will have a strike-free environment to bloviate and create hype. It's the fuel that runs the industry.

There are 8 Lost episodes ready to air and 5 more Prison Break episodes.

The deal between SAG and Dave Letterman's company "World Wide Pants" also includes their other property, "The Late Late Show" with host Craig Ferguson.

I have to think there's some capable writers out there besides the ones on strike. I can't lie, I'm actually expecting to be underwhelmed, but I guess I just didn't know how much I'd miss the Conan's, and the Stwart's and the Colbert's.

                                Conan's back tonight
