Add in that the big time critics have really liked this movie so far (EW, Variety) and I think it bodes well for this film.
Anyone know if I, Robot got poor reviews as well?

If this is a notch above that movie, I'll love it. Will Smith + Immeasurable odds = awesome.

It was a pretty bad movie, though. Should have gotten lower.

I loved it. It wasn't meant to be a great movie, but it was incredibly entertaining to watch. That's in my opinion though, of course.

If this one is getting the same scores, I'm sure I won't mind this one at all. Consider me still excited.

That falls under the umbrella of "Will Smith." I figured everyone knew that it would be in the movie so I didn't have to give it it's own category.

I'm pretty sure it's World, not US.

And apparently he's some scientist who's immune and tries to find a cure for everyone else.

I've also heard they're Vampires, not Zombies. But I don't really know.

                      I agree, great movie.

I'm pretty much a fan of anything Will Smith does, except for that god awful noise he likes to call his, "music."

                            Re: I Am Legend

I'm really excited about this movie. Planning to watch it on Saturday evening.

I'm not worried about the Reviews on RT. I don't think many genre-films get good reviews anyway. The positive reviews all seem to say that it does what most genre-films fail to do. And the negative ones seem to blast it for what is wrong in all genre-films (bad CGI, B-flick horror fest).

I can deal with the negatives because I expect it. The positive about it being a man struggling with being the only man alive is what drew me to the movie. And it's obvious that no matter what you do with a movie like this, that plot will need to take a back seat because every audience will expect him to fight the evil. That's just how horror genre-films work.

Plus, it's Will Smith and even if his movies aren't really Academy Award type films, they are usually very entertaining and fun to watch. I'm not going in expecting a Johnny Depp performance or film. I'm going in to have fun.

I saw it at the theatre I work at last night; I am happy with what I got out of it. I had some reasonably high expectations and was not at all disappointed. The movie has some spots where things are kind of slow (part of the pacing I understand), but the suspenseful parts are rather sweet. There were numerous jump out scary parts that got me good. Smith is great as always and the ending is fitting; overall it's more of a psychological zombie movie rather than action-packed one. I recomend it.
