Honestly..what fool really thinks that out of all the BILLIONS of planets in the universe..Earth is the only spot in the entire realm that has life on it. Are you that naive?

Please..there are probably thousands and thousands of other planets across the galaxy having the same debate.

    Pretty cool stuff.
Seriously I don't get how people can think that we're alone in a universe that goes on for basically forever.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Maybe but I've seen polls done on the subject and many people say that they wouldn't think any differently about their faith if there was proven to be life outside of this planet.

This thing was held this morning, any word on what was shown?

Why would something of this magnitude not be shown on any major news networks today.

Anyone have any updated info on how this played out today?

One thing I've always wondered is why is it hard to believe that maybe civilizations in the past actually created advanced technology that could do things like go to the moon, build pyramids, or whatever else. Maybe we just never found what they used.

Well if there is life on other planets, should they be capable of finding us, would have a pretty easytime of killing us all very quickly.

I do not want this thread closed, do not bring up anything regarding polls related to that subject period.

Lets just keep this on the press release folks, thanks.

I don't see how you can look at how huge the universe is and come to the conclusion that we are somehow so special that we're alone. I don't think that they are moronic fools but it does seem pretty naive to me.

Someone brought up the belief thing, it's not that big of a deal. I was just mentioning it anyway.

You just don't believe that you're special.

I'm also not big on the name calling. Please show me some proof of these assumptions you are making.

What in the world are you talking about? I don't know what proof you need to show that the universe is very large.
