Well astronauts and pilots have seen them and are some of the main people calling for the government to investigate what they've seen and/or release whatever information they might have.

So despite the fact that the universe goes on for an almost infinite distance, aliens don't exist because you haven't seen one?

I'm not going to force you to do outside research for a message board topic as others have implied, but if you just read my posts, you'd realize that I didn't say aliens in some form don't exist, just that I don't think they are all that different from species we have on Earth.

If I had the time I would get a better source, but I think it proves the point. 19 incidents of UFO Sightings before 1950, if you do research I think you'll find even more before 1950.

I had never heard of any before then. Not "there aren't any." Please read what I'm saying more closely.

If I had the time I would get a better source, but I think it proves the point. 19 incidents of UFO Sightings before 1950, if you do research I think you'll find even more before 1950.

I remember watching the UFO documentary on the History channel not too long ago. One thing they hit on was the Roswell incident... I thought they had some interesting information on that. And some interesting people that they interviewed.

Only bad thing about it was that Gumbel was the host.

If Aliens were true, don't you think they would have made contact yet. How can the government cover up a Walmart sighting, like PK said. IF Aliens are real I am sure they would have made contact.

The whole non-contact thing is a very compelling point. The fact that there is infinite space out there though is what leads me to suspect that there is some sort of life out there.

Another question I have is why haven't astronauts ever seen anything while in space? Seems like these "UFOs" have to come from somewhere in space to get to Earth.

Theres no such thing as Aliens, if there was we would be dead already.

Sure maybe in a terrible movie like Independence Day...I would have to think a more advanced civilization wouldn't start/create war like we do.

Just to be fair, I think a sub point of Scott's point was that why haven't they shown themselves to the general public. You would've thought by now that aliens would have just popped up and everyday people would have spotted them or something.

I don't think it's a valid point at all, especially with how huge space is. Our own galaxy is 10,000 light years away and still there are people who have said that they have come in contact with aliens.
