The time is our own, when rustlers have given way to drug runners and small towns have become free-fire zones. The story begins when Llewelyn Moss finds a pickup truck surrounded by a sentry of dead men. A load of heroin and 2 million dollars in cash are still in the back. When Moss takes the money, he sets off a chain reaction of catastrophic violence that not even the law, in the person of aging, disillusioned Sheriff Bell, can contain. As Moss tries to evade his pursuers--in particular, a mysterious mastermind who flips coins for human lives--the film simultaneously strips down the American crime drama and broadens its concerns to encompass themes as ancient as the Bible and as bloodily contemporary as this morning's headline.

This movie has been getting fantastic reviews by just about everybody. Having not seen the movie this synopsis is not my own.

It looks interesting, but I'm not completely sold on it yet so it'll probably end up being a rental. I am looking forward to everyones impressions though.Comment

Loved it. Anton Chigurh is one bad dude.

Re: No Country for Old Men
My wife and I watched this movie last night. And for about 1 hour and 45 minutes it was an A+ movie.
The last 20 minutes brought the movie down to a C+.
Spoiler
The ending sucked as it didn't wrap up one of the main characters story lines very well at all
But I have to say, the guy that plays the pyscho does an excellent job. The guy was very, very creepy.Comment

Once the main character died, I didn't care about the movie at all. They drug it on way too long after his death and didn't tie enough together.
I saw it months ago though, so I was hoping it changed... I guess it didn't.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? No one can seem to kill the right one.Comment

Re: No Country for Old Men
There's probably some people that will love the last part of the movie, but I didn't. It seriously ruined the night for me. My wife and I have 2 young boys and we don't get many chances to go out to movies. So we were really pumped to get a night out at the theatre. After the movie we both agreed that it was like we wasted the evening and we both wish we watched a different movie.Comment
