Thanks for telling me what I was thinking. How many times can I say that I simply wanted to know who he was, I was in the office, so I couldn't search on the internet, and I was actually interested in who the guy was.

So you couldn't search on the internet but you could post in here? Something doesn't add up.

I had never heard of UGK before this thread. I had no idea what part of the entertainment business he was in to.

No they wont. Most pop music fans do but not others. I listen to all music so I know who they are but if I just listened to the Urban or Hard Rock stations, I would have no idea who Maroon 5 is.

****, Michael Buble and Josh Groban are big stars in pop music and I didnt know who the hell he was until 2 weeks ago.

I personally think you and DE are BSing but its all good man. Pay your respects and move on. If you aren't clear on who the person was, its been mentioned plenty of times to just google it.

I've never once commented in a thread(death or otherwise) where I didn't know who someone was. What point is it to comment or even inquire if you have no intentions to give a damn afterwards?

I don't even listen to mainstream music. I listen to the radio on my way too and from school. I listen to whatever song has a catchy beat. I don't pay attention to the musician nor what the song title is. If I like how it sounds, I listen to it. Hell, just yesterday I was listening to some Michael Bolton. It had a nice beat, and the only reason I knew who he was, was because he is a huge name in music.

Not a good idea to admit I listened to some Bolton.

I don't know what it was or what it wasn't. The point was being made that this wouldn't happen in a thread with Tom Petty or Adam Levine. I asked who the heck Adam Levine was. You pointed out in your reply that he was from Maroon 5. How was I supposed to know that? It might be safe to assume he's a musician, but there are tons of musicians out there that I don't know that everyone else might know. What's the harm in asking who it is?

BTW, I knew who Pimp C was, I'm just standing up for those who are being attacked for asking who?

You arent reading. The title of this thread clearly states the musician and his group. The Quiet Riot thread is a great example. Like this thread it clearly stated his name and his group in the title and there wasnt one "Who?" response in the entire thread?

Linty is taking the brunt of this but it happens in every rapper death or injury thread. ****, it happens in some rap album threads.
