I think people are taking things way too seriously on OS.

Your "who" isn't in question here, so please, don't bring it here. Nothing in here has anything to do with you saying "who" in another thread man. Someone that people actually cared about dying, or getting shot seems serious enough to not have to deal with people coming in and acting like 10 year olds.

He actually just released another Cd as he has been doing quite reguarly since leaving Jive Records,but nothing to really get excited about.

Yeah, I agree. Spice 1 along with MC Eiht of Compton's Most Wanted both mainly capitalized on the gangster rap craze during the early- to mid-'90s. That's not to say their stuff wasn't good, because they really were. They were both dropping highly-recommended quality albums like nothing during that time but were unfortunately overshadowed by Pac and Ice Cube when it came to getting attention from the mainstream. Also, groups like Above The Law, WC (until he joined Cube and Mack 10 to form Westside Connection), South Central Cartel, etc. got hardly any look during that time.

But these days, the gangster rap theme has long worn thin with many listeners, and both guys have fallen off mainly because of that. The market is way oversaturated and dated with this type of music now.

It was a weak analogy.

I was trying to show how not everyone knows who all the famous people in the world are. Two threads in a row where people have freaked out because someone didn't know who the guy dead/dying was.

Forgive me for not liking rap, nor knowing who Spice 1 or Pimp C are. People are acting as if someone came into a thread and started disrespecting rap and those two rappers.

No one cares that you don't like rap. People are sick of seeing every rap thread have posts asking who or making some smart *** remark all the time. And if someone clicked on the link in the first post they would see that he's a rapper.

Before the thread was even recognized as being about a rapper, someone asked "who?" How the hell is a non-rap fan supposed to know who Pimp C or UGK is? For this thread, TJ made a funny comment. Move on.

And in this thread there was a link to who it was. In the other thread he put enough information to where you would easily be able to find out who it was if you genuinely wanted to know.
