Episode 10:
SpoilerOriginally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -
Re: The Wire-Season 5
Due to my teachers deciding that next week is a great time for midterms (including 2 on Monday), I'm downloading the finale now.
Hopefully the quality is good.
Episode 10:
Spoiler
The episode followed every episode; too many stories to tie up in far too short of a time. The first hour was solid dealing with the paper and police aspect, but the last 30 minutes felt like a clip show.
I didn't really like the whole Marlo, Sidnor, Michael, and Dukie=Stringer, McNulty, Omar, and Bubbles. Not that I don't appreciate the point, but the way they showed it COMPLETELY changed the show from complete subtle and "figure it out yourself" to "OMG, he looks like Omar and is saying the words of McNulty". Dukie's last scene was good because of that. They managed to portray him as a drug addict without reshooting a previous scene.
I thought the montage could have been a bit better. I would have liked them to go through each opening and show all of the characters from each. I thought leaving out Avon, Cutty, Niko, and Randy was a bit silly. It was a solid finale, but it certainly wasn't great.Last edited by Cebby; 03-05-2008, 09:34 PM.Comment

Re: The Wire-Season 5
I'm sure Jason will complain about all the characters while Simmons will just bring up Boston over and over again. I'll pass on that.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

SpoilerI think they addressed those people in early episodes though Avon is gone away for a long time but they showed how now he runs the prison... they showed Randy at that group home and how he completely changed into another person his innocence was gone. Cutty is still helping out the kids he aint apart of the game so he has no real reason to be shown other than when he helped out Dookie.Comment

Re: The Wire-Season 5
Thanks, got it. They had a nice discussion, interrupted briefly for a quick 69 and continued. I could listen to a discussion about this show all day though. They brought up a lot of interesting points that never crossed my mind, and one in particular that if it happens in season 10, will break my heart.PS: You guys are great.
