I am re-opening this thread after consulting with Squint and a few other staffers. I will be handing out red cards shortly.

I've been in meetings all day (my work week is f'ed up this week, don't get me started), and just found out.

I can't imagine what his poor daughter is going through.

I've been a big fan through 10 Things I Hate About You, The Patriot, Brokeback Mountain. I was looking forward to The Dark Knight, but now it's gonna be a little weird I think.

If his death was somehow related to his preparation for The Dark Knight (and MAYBE this other movie Candy) it could really shed some light on the film industry and to the lengths performers go to prepare for these wild roles.

Kind of like steroids did with Chris Benoit and wrestling.

You know, I haven't read through this thread, and I'm not going to. I only had to go a few pages before I knew what this was going to degenerate into.

I'm taking my "mod" cap off for whatever finishes this post.

It makes me absolutely sick to my stomach to see what lengths some of you go to just to feel like a part of the "in" crowd. Speculation as to what drugs he did, what his life was like, etc. Instead of just saying "Rest in peace" or something to the effect, some of you have decided to lay down that he was definitely a drug addict, or you knew he did cocaine.

And here is a little light to shine on some of you - NOT EVERYONE WHO HAS MONEY DOES DRUGS.

Funny...I have now read about 2 different drugs THAT ARE NOT EVEN IN ANY REPORT ABOUT HEATH LEDGER.

To finish it off, let me say this. I have seen a bunch of you on this forum saying how you don't like the way this whole DSM/OS thing has been handled, and don't like the way DSM handles themselves. Time to take a look in the mirror. This thread is a prime example as to why OS is losing staff/moderators by the handful at a time. Some of you just don't know when to say when or when to just stay quiet.

That's all. Rest in peace, Mr. Ledger. Some of us actually care that your daughter and family are alright, and don't just want to make a spectacle of another Hollywood death.

It's gonna be kind of eerie watching TDK now, just adding to the experience. I hope they can find a way to give the Joker closure (or an open-ended mystery).

ok i have a question. If there were pills strewn about his body then i guess it would be safe to assume he took some right? Ok next question is if you take pills like that wouldnt you know that they could kill you? or do people seriously think they cant? makes me think he either killed himself or just didnt care if he lived or died. agree? disagree?

See, maybe Im the eternal optimist, but I look at it as Heath had serious problems sleeping at night and was taking them for that, they werent working and he became frusterated and figured taking a few more then suggested would allow him to sleep better and in the end it killed him. Like I said, it could just be me being the optimistic person.

guess we will wait on the autopsy. He's a piece of **** if he killed himself and did this to his family (especially the kid). Hopefully it wasn't suicide though.
