Re: ESPN anchor disciplined after roast rant
1. How are Mike & Mike eligible to be roasted? I like the guys, but they are no where near as popular/famous as you should be when you get roasted.
2. Who cares what she said? She got drunk and made a stupid joke. Who hasn't? -

Re: ESPN anchor disciplined after roast rant
isn't the point of a roast to get drunk and tell off color jokes? I think ESPN is being a bit two faced here. I mean what do they expect? A Bill Cosby style routine? It's not like the roast was shown on TV.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: ESPN anchor disciplined after roast rant
Seems dumb, but just stupid to do what she did in the first place. Then again, stuff like this happens at roasts all the time though, just not usually making the news.

What was it she said that got her in hot water. The article didn't make mention of exactly what she said.Comment

Re: ESPN anchor disciplined after roast rant
"F Notre Dame"...and "F Touchdown Jesus"
that would be very bad if she meant it,,,but she was joking. She was at a roast. Its usually anything goes at roasts. They get pretty hard core, or else they wouldnt be roasts.Last edited by ZB9; 01-23-2008, 10:25 PM.Comment

Re: ESPN anchor disciplined after roast rant
Would it really? Aside from Notre Dame fans, I don't know if there's a person on this board that hasn't said "**** Notre Dame".
But drunk and at a roast? If you can't say "**** Notre Dame" in that environment, what can you say.
ESPN needs to recognize that they reside in America. Go to the Vatican or China with that nonsense. And take Dookie V with you.Comment
