ESPN needs to recognize that they reside in America. Go to the Vatican or China with that nonsense. And take Dookie V with you.
lol na man. im talking about the other part

but Its silly for her to get suspended. That is what roasts are all about.

Disciplining someone for what they said at a roast? Seriously?

I would discipline her for being ugly.

              She has really thick arms.

              It's kind of gross.

I honestly think she probably got disciplined more for saying things about the precious Notre Dame than she did about using profanity.

I hope she made Lou Holtz cry.

Honestly it was that she said, "**** Jesus." And I still think it's absurd to take offense to anything said at a roast. ANYTHING GOES at a roast. You oughta know that when you watch one, and you oughta be able to be confident in that if you are participating in one. ESPN caved in and punished one of their own for doing exactly what you are supposed to do at a roast.

Roast or no Roast, that comment is offensive to the majority of Christians regardless of the setting.

Anything goes at a Roast maybe you're reply, however, that doesn't mean there won't be consequences.

im a Christian. I wasnt overly offended, but i dont get offended by stuff said with the intention of comedy. I hate all of the PC crap in this country nowadays.

i can see why other people would be offended by it, but that's the point. People are SUPPOSED to get offended, or it's not a roast.

ESPN probably should have called it something else besides a roast, because obviously it wasnt a true roast.

I just want to be clear.

                            "F*** Jesus" doesn't offend you?

I find it to be the highest order of blasphemy.

To clarify. She didn't say "**** Jesus". She said "**** Touchdown Jesus". I think the Sporting News Blog summed this one up the best.

Each day, there are stories within the sporting world that we are bombarded with even though the average fan probably doesn't care. Here is where we mock those stories.

                              By Chris Mottram

If I were to tell you that Dana Jacobson was suspended from her job for apparently saying, "F--- Notre Dame ... f--- Jesus," our subsequent conversation would probably go something like this:

                              You: "Who?"
Me: "Jesus Christ. You know, king of kings."
You: "No no, brah. Diane Jacobs. Who's that?"
Me: "Oh, my bad. It's Dana Jacobson. She's on ESPN2 or something."
You: "Ah. That's cool. I hate Notre Dame too."

And really, that would probably be the extent of it, because you, nor I, nor any other sports fan gives two craps about someone who anchors a morning show on ESPN2 that -- more or less -- insults our intelligence for two hours each day.

But for some reason, this story is everywhere today. So -- because this is apparently important -- here are the details. She uttered the previously mentioned quotes at a roast for ESPN's Mike and Mike. She was apparently drunk. She will now take one week off from listening to Skip Bayless argue with himself. Sounds like a blessing in disguise.
