Finally made a MAL account.

Figured I'd finally get around to making one of these, at least to have a place handy to keep track of everything I have on my HDDs.

So this list is both for the openELEC HTPC I use and the PLEX server I have running from my PC (not that it really gets a ton of use, more for if one of us is away and we can watch it on our tablets/laptop - though I can share the server with anyone.)

Still haven't seen either first season. Also been watching the Monogatari series. Finished Bake and Nise. On mono now but haven't started it yet.

Also Akame moved up there on my list. I love the story, Manga and anime so far.

Tokyo Ghoul and Akame go Kill have me hooked man.

The first two episodes of Tokyo Ghoul were absolutely amazing. The action, suspense, and the true emotional ride made it stand out.

However, in the recent episodes the quality has taken a nosedive. The animation has dipped, but the worst thing is the pacing. The anime casually skips over important points from the manga. The series would have been perfect for a 24/25 episode season rather than a 12/13.

When it comes to this fall, I'm really looking forward to Log Horizon and Selector spread WIXOSS. Selector infected WIXOSS was weird, but I found it real enjoyable.

There will probably be a couple others that grab me... but those are the ones that I am looking forward to.

I personally have not read the manga, but the popular opinion is that that manga is far superior and that the anime is just acting as an ad to drive up sales for the manga right now.

I've been sawing through my backlog with some free time lately. I'm finding myself getting back in to 90's shows and OVA series. Recently wrapped up Birdy The Mighty, an OVA I haven't seen in years. Sure there are lots of solid shows now, but I love that 90's look when it's something with a decent budget.

There's a couple of interesting looking shows releasing in the new season.

Also my friend got me watching mahouka. It's weird in a way but for some reason I like the mc opness. Lol.

Getting into Log Horizon right now, fun show. It's kind of like Sword Art Online in the whole "trapped in a MMO", but more light hearted/comedic at times.
