    Re: Anime/Manga Discussion Thread

Finished the second season of Haiykuu which was great. Never before do I feel anything for the opponents of the main character except when I watch this. I just want everyone to win but I know that can't happen. Can't wait for season 3. Looking like it going the same route as kuroko basketball.

Finally got around to re watching Hunter x Hunter. Forgot how much of of a masterpiece this show is. From the moment it started it has been nothing but refreshing. The best duo in anime Gon and Killua is back. Gonna read the manga once I'm done with the anime.

      Man re:Zero is so good.

Between that show (so far) and My Hero Academia this is the best season in recent memory.

Those two shows keep delivering and getting better and better.

That's not to mention some of the other good shows that are currently airing, but man these two absolutely stand out.

Waiting on the last episode of Assassination Classroom, but season 2 has been a great and better than the first. They really went all out with it, and they made sure not to leave anything left out. Loved how it picked backed up where the firdt season ended. I'm usually heartless and feel no emotion to most stuff that happens in a Manga or Anime, but when I do get attached to the chracters I just can't hold back. Angel Beat and Plastic Memory where great, wish I new of some other shows similar to those. This last episode of Assassination Classroom is leading to one of those type of endings.

Cardcaptor Sakura is coming back for the first time in years. Not my type of show(the whole magical girl thing) but it's a classic.

I think I'm really going to enjoy the two Danganronpa animes this season. Just watched the first episode of the "Future" arc and it cleared up a lot of the questions I had about the structure of this story:

              Spoiler

Oh, right...they also ditched the stylistic pink blood for this one. It's normal-colored now.

Massive spoilers for the 2nd game (which was not made into anime form) in the very first minutes of the show, so if you do want to watch this, I'd suggest playing it or at least reading up on the plot.

There's another, different arc airing a few days later, the "Despair Arc" which is supposed to feature the DR2 cast and is something of a prequel to everything in the series. It was a strange decision to air two completely different series at the same time, for sure.

Seem like Mob Psycho 100, Relife, Morose Mononokean, and 91 days are going to be my new summer animes this year.

Man, Danganronpa 3 Despair Side went full Higurashi in the latest episode. Most disturbing scene in the whole series for me (and there were some bad ones in the games).

Perhaps making it worse was the fact that if you played the games you KNOW the general sequence of what's going to happen, it's just a matter of waiting for it all to play out (and learning the smaller details of what happened).

Crunchyroll and Funimation have come to a partnership. Certain Funi titles will be available on CR while certain CR titles will be on Funi. I might reactivate my Crunchyroll sub then as I can watch the best of both worlds without having to sub to both.

I guess hell froze over in a sense, the gist of the partnership is Crunchyroll will house all subs as Funimation will migrate most of their subtitled catalog over and Funimation will house the the dubs of future shows and they are planning on trying to dub some of Crunchyrolls catalog (hopefully Naruto for one)

Once the fall season starts up is when the partnership will start to flourish

Yep. I couldn't justify spending money on both services just to watch one or two different shows. Very smart move by both companies.

Im gonna wait and see how it all comes together because if they do move most of the Funimation subs over to Crunchyroll i may cancel Funimation because I'd rather not wait for dubs and why have both when they will most likely have the same content goin forward and Crunchyroll gets the show within a couple hours after it airs in Japan
