You are awesome, dude! I checked it out and it also has the ultimate regular DVD bond package much cheaper. My dad wanted this recently too, told him and he picked one up. Thanks a lot!Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Inetvideo has about 25 blu ray titles listed at $9.99 Much better selection that those listed so far for Black Friday. Notables included: Sex and the City, both Harold and Kumars, Shoot Em Up, etc.
Shipping costs does become an issue. I got Harold and Kumar 1 and 2 for $25.xx shipped. Not too bad.Comment

The image cleanliness from the transfer may be, but the animations themselves simply don't compare to what Pixar puts out. I think that is the only one deterrent that's hindering my possible purchase of this movie (haven't actually seen it, but supposedly it's very good).
Regardless, if I buy it, it will be a blind buy. I'm sure the movie will karate-kick ***, but the only question is whether I can take the fugly animations compared to how Pixar goes about their visual quality.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
I'm finally getting the TV for it but I've already got a few BRs so should I start at the bottom in terms of pic quality so I won't be dissapointed later or start at the top?
Kung Fu Panda (apprently the best)
Corpse Bride
300
Iron Man
Batman Begins
The Departed
Gotham Knight
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Talladega Nights
If you're wondering why get them without the TV,I have most of these because I had cupons for Blockbuster that would've expired by now,the one I used for Dracula was only good on Halloween.Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
300 has terrible PQ. It's not the fault of the transfer, but Zac Snyder's intent on his artistic style in the movie. Very noisy with heavy film grain and a lot of bleeding blacks. It's also rather oversaturated, and there are some overall inconsistencies from one scene to another with hues. Start with that.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I absolutly hated that movie, but take that with a grain of salt as I havent liked much in the way of animation movies since Fidning Nemo I believe. I didnt like this, didnt like Ratatouille, didnt like The Incredibles and Im sure Im forgetting others but for some reason everything lately has been terrible imo.The image cleanliness from the transfer may be, but the animations themselves simply don't compare to what Pixar puts out. Interesting. So far, I've loved every Pixar movie made (somehow I missed Monsters Inc., though), Ratatouille definitely being near the top. Oh well, maybe I'll have to see the movie first and foremost.I absolutly hated that movie, but take that with a grain of salt as I havent liked much in the way of animation movies since Fidning Nemo I believe. Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
So apparently Lucky Number Slevin just squeaked by me yesterday without noticing (I thought someone here said December or January or something), but oh well, another Black Friday purchase for me, assuming there is at least a $5 decrease in price.
But the one thing I don't get, and this is mostly to you GeonosisX, is that most reviewers aren't seeing these Weinstein Blu-ray transfers the same way you are. I'm not saying either of you are wrong, but this is maybe the third one released from Weinstein that came out as only decent reviews from some of the public sites, but you've given them near perfect scores. I'm hoping you're right for everyone's sake, but I was just wondering what kind of pristineness you saw that these guys aren't. Are you perhaps referring to the transfer being direct without any artifacting and it's still crystal clear?
Here are two reviews just as an example. I wanted to know if you agreed/disagreed with any of this, if you wanted to add anything to what they said, or if you feel that the way you weight your scores is differently based on the same criteria given:
The Review at a Glance: (max score: 5 ) Film: Extras: Audio/Video total rating: ( Max score: 100 ) 85 Studio and Year: The Weinstein Company - 2006 MPAA Rating: R Feature running time: 110 Minutes Genre: Crime thriller Disc Format: BD-50 Encoding: AVC (MPEG-4) Video Aspect...
Anyway like I said, can't wait to pick this up!Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I received this yesterday for review and it is a great film on BD. I owned the HD DVD and the PQ is the same. But the audio is an upgrade with TrueHD. The HD DVD audio with the DD+ was rather low/soft, this is worth an upgrade. So apparently Lucky Number Slevin just squeaked by me yesterday without noticing (I thought someone here said December or January or something), but oh well, another Black Friday purchase for me, assuming there is at least a $5 decrease in price.

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Very possible. A lot of stores have been doing it.Originally posted by BlzerSo I'm just being the messenger here, but my friend texted me, and supposedly Fry's Electronics is doing a "round one" for Black Friday this Friday, in order to help boost the economy or something. Another rumor is spreading that they'll be opening at 4:00 AM that morning.
Couldn't find said rumors online, so I wasn't sure if anyone could help me (or my friend) out here.Comment
