Problem is there are no great comedies on TV. No sit-coms that are in the elite category like Seinfeld, or Raymond. With networks moving away from sit-coms and toward cheap (low cost production shows) programming I don't know when we'll see another hit like Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends, Cosby etc.

There are great comedies on TV. Personally, I never found Seinfeld or Raymond that funny.

So you don't find it funny, you then classify them as not great. Numbers don't lie. The ratings for today's sitcoms are pretty bad. I think The Office has the highest numbers but I could be wrong.

A great comedy is one that usually has everyone talking the next day. Seinfeld was able to get into people's vernacular after an airing. Other sit-coms have had similar effects.

I think for a comedy to be considered great it has to have the numbers and critical acclaim. I don't considered highly rated sitcoms like Laverne And Shirley or Three's Company great.

Two and a Half Men has the highest ratings by far. In fact, The Office is also beaten consistently by The Big Bang Theory.

Two And A Half Men has been in the top twenty (15, 11, 17, 19, 19) every year since debuting in the fall of 2003. The Office is 102, 67, 68, and 56 since debuting in March of 2005. How I Met Your Mother is 61, 51, and 53. The Office just outranked The Big Bang Theory 56-60 for 2007-08.

Its because of the person in it and the fact that the show tells you when to laugh and for some reason people like that.

                      Two and a Half Men?

It's classic comedy television. All of the older shows did the same thing.

When does it go to ABC? Next year?

I know they finally started Season 7 (final season?) up again on NBC. Last week's episode was pretty good.

i cant imagine it would move, and i honestly cant imagine the cast/writers/director would come back. Theyve all said this is it, the have an awesome last few episodes apparently. Unless they only show 4 more eps this year and save the rest for ABC, i cant see it happening.

There are 2 episodes on NBC.com that have been posted since it was delayed in December: "My Bad Too" and "My Manhood." IMDB says they orginally aired April 10 and April 17. Both NBC.com and IMDB say that the next episode is supposed to air this Thursday night at 8:30 pm.

                              Anyone know what's up?

Yeah, they started airing the new episodes (delayed because of the strike) on NBC two weeks ago. This week's episode is on at 8:30pm, instead of the regular 9:30pm time.

                                I thought everyone knew that.

P.S. The two new episodes NBC has aired were hilarious.
