I honestly am considering taking the route to a cheaper HDTV. This has really gotten my eyes open. Was saving up for a nice Samsung but if a Vizio is just as good for the fraction, I might have a shot at it. I heard that Vizios don't last as long and usually have to come in for repair within a year. I wish I knew people who were living with HDTVs in their house so I could compare and contrast.

        Re: Vizio VX37L HDTV

I have a Vizio 32 inch TV for the bedroom, don't use it a ton but here's my thoughts on it -

Pro's - Inexpensive, great HD picture

Cons - Sound is really 'tinny' and pretty bad. I would imagine that even a cheap set of surround sound speakers would really improve the overall package. Picture in standard definition not that great, but you can say that about a lot of HDTV's.

Overall, it's a good value purchase.

As to the sound comment, I haven't used the TV speakers, so can't speak on them...I've used surround sound with my system.

Great somewhat cheaper tv. Plus now LT is their spokesman and they've got some TV ads and whatnot. Not that it matters, but it's nicer for some people to know that it's a relatively known/legit brand

                Re: Vizio VX37L HDTV

I could've gotten a "big name" HDTV for my graduation present but I decided on getting a 32" and 42" Vizio instead.

Great decision on my part. I'm no movie buff and having two nice HDTV's that were reasonably priced is great.

The sports on HD look awesome on the 42" and the 32" is great in my second room for my gaming needs.

With warranties and whatnot it was about 2K for both of them.

I really don't know what the life span is on these things, I've had mine about a year now with no problems. I actually overuse it in my opinion. Since I use it fo rmy computer monitor and gaming and TV, it hardly goes off in the day. I also tend to leave it on when I leave the house since I'm use to leaving my computer monitor on. I've been trying to remember to turn it off lately. My parents went out and bought one right after me and are planning on getting a bigger vizio here soon. I would reccomend it to anyone.

I hope people pay attention to what you posted, this website sounds like a complete scam. Lets see, they require a minimum of a 500.00 purchase which is a red flag, their IP is registered in Malaysia, they only accept Western Union Money Orders which are impossible to get back if you find out its a scam after the fact, they request you send the money to someone in Italy and someone else mentioned that the address in Jersey where they are supposendly located is a Comp USA thats going out of business and that was just 2 weeks ago. If this doesnt scream scam then anyone buying from them knowing this knowledge deserves to get ripped off imo.

WOW. If you place an order with them you are ******** or know nothing about the internet. That is a ton of red flags.

Thank goodness for companies not bent on trying to 1up your wallet. Definitely doing my research though. Thanks a ton. Eyes enlightened.

Edit: OMGoodness!! Vizio is #1 in America in selling LCDs?? THAT IS JUST......SPEECHLESS!! They must be good or Walmart must have some fantastic deals in selling those suckers.

Damn that's crazy. Thanks for the info guys. I was seriously about to place an order for that TV through that site. I should take the saying "If it's too good to be true, it usually isn't" more seriously.

This is actually the same TV that I was gonna buy but neither Wal-Mart within a 100 miles of me had it in stock and there's at least 5 within a 100 mile distance. It's definitely the best bang for the buck.

Honestly I've heard nothing but bad things about these. Yeah they're cheap but the general consensus for them is you get what you pay for. I've had a lot of experiences with HDTV with just about everyone in my family owning one now. My general feeling that you're going to be spending this much money, go for quality. Pioneer is at the top of the list without a doubt but i found Samsung to be the best bang for the buck. Panasonic, Sony, and Toshiba I also found to like.
