If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess. I'll be the one to tell you that you're probably the only one on this message board who has that opinion of Talib though.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Ok? I know alot of other people who feel the same way so whether people on this message board have the same opinion or not is irrelevant to me.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

There really is no reason to argue with me you asked me a question, I answered it, then you want to bring up how it's my opinion that he's overrated(which is obvious) then how people think he's great.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Do you think that I don't know that it's my opinion? I know people who don't think that he's great but there's no reason for me to bring them up as some way of validating what I said.

I know that your first inclination is to not download someone's music from this board because they may not be a "real" artist of sorts... but seriously... download b.a.sick's album... he replied to you in this thread. His album is nice.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: Alright help a brother out! (Hip-Hop Questions?)
On the Talib debate. I think his lines are what set him apart from average emcees... "I be gettin some head / from phony rappers I decapitate"... I think his bigger problem is his unusual flow and getting on beats that cater to it.
The instrumentals on the album "Ear Drum" catered to it and it was overall a great album. His mixtape with Madlib was pretty poor though because he sounded awkward on most of the beats.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: Alright help a brother out! (Hip-Hop Questions?)
I loved ODB's first album but I could understand if you didn't... can't say the same about Meth though.
Actually many people around here have said the same thing about him... and I agree. It's kind of like the "Favre's a top 5 QB of all times" discussion. He's damn good but he hasn't put out as much quality work as people seem to give him credit for. Black Star was classic, of course. Since then I'd say he's had one album that was pretty damn good and then a couple of hits off the rest of his albums. He gets talked about in the same breath as Mos Def and Common and I'd agree, he doesn't deserve to be on that level.Comment
