Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess. I'll be the one to tell you that you're probably the only one on this message board who has that opinion of Talib though.

Ok? I know alot of other people who feel the same way so whether people on this message board have the same opinion or not is irrelevant to me.

I'm just saying....you saying he is overrated means that a lot of people recognize him as a GREAT emcee, and you think he isnt. And you said what makes him overrated are strictly opinions.

...I dont even know why I'm arguing with you.

Do you think that I don't know that it's my opinion? I know people who don't think that he's great but there's no reason for me to bring them up as some way of validating what I said.

There really is no reason to argue with me you asked me a question, I answered it, then you want to bring up how it's my opinion that he's overrated(which is obvious) then how people think he's great.

Do people usually post things on the internet that are not their opinions?

Game Theory by The Roots could be my new favorite high energy song of all-time. It's spectacular
I know that your first inclination is to not download someone's music from this board because they may not be a "real" artist of sorts... but seriously... download b.a.sick's album... he replied to you in this thread. His album is nice.

On the Talib debate. I think his lines are what set him apart from average emcees... "I be gettin some head / from phony rappers I decapitate"... I think his bigger problem is his unusual flow and getting on beats that cater to it.

The instrumentals on the album "Ear Drum" catered to it and it was overall a great album. His mixtape with Madlib was pretty poor though because he sounded awkward on most of the beats.

I disagree... wholeheartedly actually. Tical is one of my favorite Wu CDs and favorites of all time (which goes hand in hand with being a favorite Wu CD). If you're analyzing Meth's entire body of work, then that's a different conversation but we're talking about specific CDs, right?

I loved ODB's first album but I could understand if you didn't... can't say the same about Meth though.

Actually many people around here have said the same thing about him... and I agree. It's kind of like the "Favre's a top 5 QB of all times" discussion. He's damn good but he hasn't put out as much quality work as people seem to give him credit for. Black Star was classic, of course. Since then I'd say he's had one album that was pretty damn good and then a couple of hits off the rest of his albums. He gets talked about in the same breath as Mos Def and Common and I'd agree, he doesn't deserve to be on that level.
