Agreed. At the time I posted this, I had only heard the snippet and he wasn't on it.

IMO not as good as House Of Balloons. Still the whole tape is dope from start to finish. Crazy how fast this guy has blown up since I first started listening to him.

For me personally, he's the artist of the year hands down. I mean, three mixtapes of that caliber in one year? That's just unheard of in any genre. Well maybe I'm overlooking people, but I don't recall any of my favorite artists accomplishing so much in one single year.

HOB is the GOAT out of the three....

This tape is def more experimental.....

Yo, @1:55 of Outside.... I pelvic thrust wherever I'm at when I hear that part... someone get me some protection or else I'm gonna have a bunch of mini me's running around real quick

That song alone is going to be responsible for a record number of New Years babies on 1/1/2013.

The Weeknd truly hit the scene this year. His sound is so unique but everything seems to come together perfectly.

              My mixtape ranking order:

              #1- HOB, no question
#2- SOE which is very solid 1-9
#3- Thursday. I liked it but it is a distant 3rd

Had to bump this because Tank's new album dropped this week.

And holy s*** what an album. Every song but "Lonely" is great IMO. Favorite song at the moment off the album is "Lost It All". This album is going to get a ton of play in the Jeep the rest of the year. Easily the front runner for R&B Album of the Year. Please tell me you guys went out and bought this too.

If I where you ehh snag it at Target this week while its on sale for $8.99. If you don't like it at least you will not have paid say $13-$15 for it.

Haven't had the chance to listen to it myself, but I haven't heard many positive thoughts on it.

I'll keep Lessons for the Lover.. and the previously released Climax...

but the rest I'll just listen to when I hit the club, lol

Literally every song was meant for the radio, almost every song has a house beat/music on it.. which isn't bad, if you're into that kind of thing. Every song reminded me of a weaker "OMG" type track..

I guess Usher went commercial... which I'm not mad at.

This was definitely a huge departure from anything he's ever done

Has anyone listened R. Kelly's new album Write Me Back? Thoughts about it? I'm liking it so far after listening it for the first time.
