Now the only question is Curve or Storm. I have a Lg Dare and while I love the thought of a touch screen phone it seems like the Curve is the better overall product. Decisions decisions
Both are good phones. I had a dare also.

While I didn't mind the dare I didn't really like the feeling you got when typing. No real confirmation. with the Storm you have the SurePress, so you know when you actually click a button.

Curve is nice too, but overall I like the OS/GUI of the Storm better. It's cleaner, and makes surfing the net/email much easier to read IMO.

The PIN is used by the Blackberry Messenger to IM back and forth with other Blackberry's. It's more useful than texting and is Blackberry's own service. Once you add a pin, it changes to the name of the person on the other end and works the same as AIM does. The wife and I use it all the time since it's a really easy way to communicate during the day while at work.

Hey how long are your Storm batteries lasting? Here's a typical day for me:

Surf the internet on it for maybe 30-40 minutes total.

Text a few times an hour, maybe more by the end of the night when I get off work.

Make about 2-3 15-20 minute phone calls.

By the end of the night my battery is drained... Seems like I'm not getting quite what I should be ouf of it.

My battery life got a little better after a few weeks of complete charges. I also got a car charger which helps a lot. Make sure it is a 100 percent, it seems to take a while to go from 90 to 100 percent.

(The charger and case were free)

Good phone, great features, and different.

I don't surf the next for 30-40 minutes but I do carry on extended text message conversations while at work and often talk for maybe 1.5-2.0 hours at night and I generally have no fewer than 2 battery bars left. This is with the stock battery by the way. I also place on the charger EVERY night.

I'll admit though that I did have one day this week where my battery seemed to just rapidly drain. I don't know what it was. I've had the phone since October 08 and it's the first time I've experienced that. It only happened that one day and I always have my USB charger with me so it was no biggie.

Just got back with a storm. PLayed with both models and the screen was the deciding factor. That and I actaully love the click touch screen compared to my Dare.

Also while I was there they told me starting tomarrow the new Stoirm update will begin to be rolled out with a completino time of about 2 weeks. THe guy I worked with had mot played with it yet but a tech guy there said there is some noticable improvements thoughout

DD, how long have you had the phone for? I remember suddenly having issues with my Curve battery awhile back, and a hard reset fixed the problem. So if you were previously not having trouble with battery life, you could give that a try.

It's been like this since I got it. It's alright though, like I said, I went into the store today and they are getting me a new one, so we'll try that.

Good to know, now my next question is where do you find your PIN at and how do you add someone elses to your phone? Thanks in advance.

                          Options -> Status

And you can add PIN's in the Address Book.

I forgot to mention that if you forget to turn off certain apps it will wipe out you battery life. That happened to me a couple of times. I went to open a program and it was already running and that tipped me off that that was the reason my battery was draining, so I always make sure to completely close app(youtube, etc).

                              Pandora is like that.

I always make sure to click "shut down Pandora" option before I leave the app.
